BARRIER AND ABOUT 3' ABOVE THE BASE OF CONCRETE FOOTING.
MINIMUM NO. 2 BARE COPPER CONDUCTOR ENCASES IN
MINIMUM 2' OF CONCRETE.
2. ACCESSIBLE AND APPROVED GROUND CLAMPS.
3. BONDING OF COPPER CONDUCTOR TO INTERIOR METAWC
COLD WATER PIPING SYSTEM.
4. BONDING JUMPER OR SCREWS FOR NEUTRAL TERMINAL IN

22. BUSES IN PANEL BOARDS, SWITCHBOARDS, SERVICES ETC., FEEDERS
AND BRANCH CIRCUIT CONDUCTORS SHALL BE COPPER. THIS REQUIREMENT
SUPERSEDE OTHER DOCUMENTATION. ALUMINUM BUS OR CONDUCTORS
CAN BE USED ONLY WHEN CONTRACTOR OBTAINS APPROVAL IN WRITING
FROM ENGINEER.
23. INSTALL NYLON PULL WIRE IN EACH SPARE CONDUIT.
24. TEMPERATURE RATING OF ALL CONDUCTOR TERMINALS SHALL BE 75
DEGREE CELSIUS. FOR SWITCHBOARDS, PANELBOARDS AND EQUIPMENT
CONTAINING BREAKERS, SWITCHES AND CONDUCTOR TERMINATIONS
SHALL BE LISTED FOR 75 DEGREE TERMINATION.
25. HORIZONTAL PORTION OF CONDUIT EXPOSED ON THE ROOF AND FEEDING
EQUIPMENT SHALL. NOT BE MORE THAN 5' UNLESS THE WRITTEN APPROVAL
FROM ARCHITECT OR ENGINEER IS OBTAINED.
SCOPE
1. THE GENERAL CONDITIONS AND THE ELECTRICAL SECTION OF SPECIFICATIONS
SHALL APPLY TO THIS PORTION OF WORK, IN ADDITION TO ELECTRICAL
NOTES AND GENERAL NOTES STATED HERON.
2. REFER TO ALL THE DRAWINGS AND VISIT SITE IN ORDER TO COGRINATE THE
ELECTRICAL WORK PATH OTHER WORK ON THE PREMISES AND PATH FIELD CON-
DITIONS. THE ARCHITECTURAL AND STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS TAKE PRECEDENCE
OVER 'THE ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS IN THE REPRESENTATION OF THE GENERAL
CONSTRUCTION WORK OF THESE TRADES. REFER TO REFLECTED CEILING PLANS
FOR FIXTURE LOCATION AND TO EQUIPMENT SUPPLIER DRAWINGS FOR OUTLET
LOCATION.
3. WHERE THE WORK AFFECTS THE OPERATION OF EXISTING FACIUTIES INCLUDE
ANY PREMIUM COSTS REQUIRED TO AVOID SHUT -DOWN OF FACIUTIES DURING
NORMAL OPERATION.
4. PROVIDE ALL LABOR, MATERIAL EQUIPMENT, TRANSPORTATION, AND SERVICE
REQUIRED FOR A COMPLETE AND OPERATIVE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AS INDICATED
ON DRAWINGS OF SPECIFIED.
THE WORK SHALL INCLUDE:
A. PROVISION OF ELECTRICAL AND TELEPHONE SERVICE.
B. LIGHTING AND POWER SYSTEM.
C. UGHTING FIXTURES, LAMPS, OUTLETS. DEVICES.
D. WRING FOR HVAC. AND PLUMBING, INCLUDING CONTROLS AND CONTROL
WRING PER MECH. DRAWING. (SEE NOTES 43 & 44)
E. TELEPHONE CONDUITS AND OUTLETS.
F. SHOP DRAWINGS, WRING DIAGRAMS, EQUIPMENT DATA.
G. TESTING, CLEANING, ADJUSTING.
H. METAL SUPPORTS, PLYWOOD BACKINGS.
I. PERMITS, INSPECTIONS, FEES.
J. TEMPORARY POWER AND UGHT FOR ELECTRICAL WORK.
K. RECORD "AS BUILT' DRAWINGS.
L PANELBOARDS, TRANSFORMERS, FEEDERS ETC.

GENERAL NOTES
I. THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT THE SITE OF THE WORK
AND THOROUGHLY FAMIUARIZE HIMSELF PATH THE WORKING
CONDITIONS AND THE EXACT NATURE AND EXTENT OF THE WORK TO
BE DONE. TAKING INTO ACCOUNT ANY SPECIAL OR UNUSUAL
FEATURES PECUUAR TO THIS JOB.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN AND PAY FOR ALL NECESSARY ELECTRICAL
PERMIT(S) PRIOR TO JOB START AND OBTAIN PROPER INSPECTION
FROM DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING AND SAFETY.
3. ALL ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION SHALL COMPLY WITH THE APPLICABLE
ELECTRICAL CODE OF CITY OF ENERGY CONSERVATION IN
STATE OF AND OTHER APPLICABLE ORDINANCES AND STATUES.
4. OVERCURRENT PROTECTION AND DISCONNECTING MEANS FOR ALL MOTORS
SHALL BE INSTALLED TO COMPLY WITH ELECTRICAL CODE AND EQUAL
TO MOTOR H.P.
5. EXACT LOCATION OF ALL EQUIPMENT SHALL BE VERIFIED IN THE FIELD
AND ROUTING OF CONDUITS SHALL SLIT FIELD CONDITIONS.
6. ALL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT OUTDOORS SHALL BE WEATHERPROOF AND
LISTED FOR THE PURPOSE.
7. IT IS THE INTENT OF THESE DRAWINGS MAT THIS BE A COMPLETE
ELECTRICAL JOB. ANY ERRORS OR OMISSIONS SHALL BE BROUGHT
TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ENGINEER PRIOR TO BIDDING THE JOB.
8. CONTACT POWER AND TELEPHONE CO. AND INSTALL SERVICES AS PER

11. CONDUITS WHICH ARE INSTALLED AT THIS TIME AND LEFT EMPTY
FOR FUTURE USE, INCLUDING TELEPHONE AND INTERCOMMUNICATION
SYSTEM, SHALL HAVE /12 GALVANIZED PULL. WIRE LEFT IN PLACE
FOR FUTURE USE.
12. THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROPER
PHASING OF THE BRANCH CIRCUITS INSIDE PANELBOARD(S).
13. ALL PANELS SHALL HAVE HINGED AND LOCKABLE DOORS. INSTALL A
TYPEWRITTEN DIRECTORY IN ALL PANELS.
14. ALL CONTROL HARING FOR THE A/C AND HEATING SHALL BE OF 800V
INSULATION. CABLE SHALL BE PROVIDED BY MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR
AND INSTALLED BY ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR.
15. ALL WRING SHALL BE TYPE THH OR THWN 600 VOLTS UNLESS NOTED

APPROVED FOR MAXIMUM NUMBER OF WIRES GOING IN AND OUT OF
THE FIXTURE AS SHOWN ON PLANS.
35. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE TYPE OF CEIUNG BEFORE ORDERING
ANY FIXTURES. HE IS FULLY RESPONSIBLE TO PROVIDE ALL
MOUNTING BRACKETS, COUNG CONDITIONS, AT NO EXTRA CHARGE
