IEUA GENERAL NOTES
1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL PRECAUTI❑NARY MEASURES NECESSARY TO PROTECT
EXISTING IMPROVEMENTS, WHICH ARE TO REMAIN IN PLACE, FROM DAMAGE. ANY IMPROVEMENTS
DAMAGED BY THE CONTRACTOR'S ❑PERATI❑NS SHALL BE EXPEDITIOUSLY REPAIRED OR
RECONSTRUCTED TO THE ENGINEER'S SATISFACTI❑N AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE WITH❑UT
ADDITI❑NAL COMPENSATION.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD LOCATE ALL EXISTING PIPING AND EQUIPMENT THAT CONFLICTS
WITH C❑NSTRUCTI❑N AND REMOVE AND REPLACE AS REQUIRED. AFTER CONSTRUCTION IS
COMPLETE, EXISTING PIPING SYSTEMS SHALL BE RETURNED TO THE SAME OR BETTER CONDITION
THAN AS BEFORE. ALL FIELD REL❑CATI❑N OF EXISTING PIPING SHALL BE RECORDED ON RECORD
DRAWINGS. IN AREAS WHERE GAS PIPING IS LOCATED, CONTRACTOR SHALL POTHOLE AND LOCATE
GAS PIPING BEFORE EXCAVATI❑N OF THE AREA.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTI❑NS TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE
EXISTING STRUCTURES OR OTHER EXISTING IMPROVEMENTS TO REMAIN. CONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO
PR❑VIDE ALL NECESSARY BRACING, SCAFFOLDING OR OTHER MEASURES NECESSARY FOR
CONSTRUCTION.
4. REMOVAL, ABANDONMENT OR TEMPORARY REL❑CATION OF EXISTING PIPES OR UTILITIES SHALL
BE SCHEDULED WITH THE ENGINEER TO AVOID UNNECESSARY DISRUPTION OF PLANT ❑PERATI❑NS.
5. ELEVATI❑NS. SHOWN ARE BASED ON THE AS -BUILT DRAWINGS. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD
VERIFY AND ADJUST ELEVATI❑NS AS REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN DIMENSI❑NAL RELATIONSHIPS
DEPICTED IN THE DRAWINGS.
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INITIATING, MAINTAINING AND SUPERVISING AN AIR
M❑NIT❑RING PROGRAM WHILE WORK IS BEING PERFORMED ON, IN OR ADJACENT TO ANY OF THE
ENCLOSED SPACES. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH CAL -OSHA AND ALL OTHER LOCAL
AGENCY REQUIREMENTS.
7. CONTRACTOR SHALL RESTORE ALL EXISTING PAVED AREAS, DISTURBED DURING C❑NSRUCTI❑N
INCLUDING INSTALLATION OF PIPELINES, DRAINS AND ELECTRICAL DUCTS TO ORIGINAL
CONDITI❑N. CURB AND GUTTER, AREA DRAINS, AND ALL SITE DRAINAGE AFFECTED BY THE WORK
SHALL BE RETURNED TO THE SAME OR BETTER CONDITION AFTER WORK IS COMPLETED.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RESTORE ALL LANDSCAPING TO CORRECT GRADE UPON C❑MPLETI❑N.
THIS SHALL INCLUDE REPLANTING OF TREES OF COMPARABLE SIZE TO EXISTING (MIN 6' BOX)
FOR ANY DESTROYED BY THE PROJECT, WITHIN 45 DAYS OF COMPLETION.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICE CRITERIA
FOR THE SEPARATION OF POTABLE WATER MAINS AND SANITARY SEWERS AS SET FORTH IN
SECTION 64630, TITLE 22 OF THE CALIFORNIA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE.
10. ADJUST ALL MANHOLES, VALVE BOXES AND PULL BOXES TO FINISHED GRADE UNLESS
OTHERWISE SHOWN OR DIRECTED. MANHOLES IN OPEN, UNPAVED AREAS SHALL BE SET SIX(6)
INCHES ABOVE GRADE.
w " 11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER AS SPECIFIED 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF
MAKING ANY C❑NNECTI❑N TO AN ACTIVE PIPELINE OR UTILITY SYSTEM, AND SHALL RECEIVE THE
ENGINEER'S CONSENT BEFORE PROCEEDING.

12. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SCHEDULE HIS WORK TO CONTINUOUSLY MAINTAIN PLANT
OPERATIONS AND SHALL NOT UNDULY RESTRICT PLANT ACCESS OR CIRCULATI❑N.
13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PR❑VIDE ADEQUATE SANITARY CONVENIENCES FOR THE USE OF ALL
PERSONS AT THE C❑NSTRUCTI❑N SITE OF THE WORK. SUCH CONVENIENCES SHALL INCLUDE
CHEMICAL TOILETS OR WATER CLOSETS LOCATED AT APPROPRIATE L❑CATI❑NS. AT C❑MPLETI❑N
OF THE WORK ALL SUCH CONVENIENCES SHALL BE REMOVED AND THE SITE LEFT IN SANITARY
CONDITION.
14. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH POTABLE WATER FOR A DRINKING SOURCE OTHER THAN THE
EXISTING PLANT UTILITY WATER SUPPLY, WHICH SHALL MEET ALL THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
COUNTY AND STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENTS. CONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO SUPPLY AMPLE SIGNS
THROUGHOUT THE WORK SITE AREA ADVISING HIS EMPLOYEES THAT THE PLANT WATER IS NOT
POTABLE.
15. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PR❑VIDE AT HIS OWN COST ALL ELECTRICAL POWER NECESSARY
FOR C❑NSTRUCTI❑N, TESTING, GENERAL AND SECURITY LIGHTING AND ALL OTHER PURPOSES,
WHETHER SUPPLIED THROUGH TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT FACILITIES.
16. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTE THAT THERE MAY BE OTHER PROJECTS UNDER CONSTRUCTI❑N
AT THIS SITE AND/OR NEARBY SITE. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE OTHER
CONTRACTORS PRESENT ON THE SITE DURING THE COURSE OF C❑NSTRUCTI❑N.
17. AREAS WHERE MECHANICAL COMPACTI❑N OR BACKFILL CANNOT BE ACCOMPLISHED SHALL USE
A 2 -SACK CEMENT/SAND SLURRY FOR BACKFILL PER SECTI❑N 02560 IN THE SPECIFICATI❑NS.
18. IRRIGATI❑N LINES ARE NOT MARKED AND SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
CONTRACTOR TO CORRECT AT NO COST TO AGENCY.
19. ELECTRICAL CONDUIT RUNS PARALLEL TO PROJECT AND CROSSES VICINITY SHOWN.
CONTRACTOR SHALL PROBE TO 4' AND ANY DRAINAGE SHALL BE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
CONTRACTOR ON THESE LATERALS.
20. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT C❑PIES OF HIS DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL SAFETY PERMIT
TO IEUA AND TO THE CITY OF ONTARIO.
IEUA GENERAL PIPING NOTES
1. LAY PIPE TO UNIFORM GRADE BETWEEN INDICATED ELEVATION POINTS. MINIMUM COVER SHALL
BE 3'-0' UNLESS OTHERWISE SHOWN.
2. SIZE OF FITTINGS SHOWN ON DRAWINGS SHALL CORRESPOND TO ADJACENT STRAIGHT RUN OF
PIPE, UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED. TYPE OF J❑INT AND FITTING MATERIAL SHALL BE THE
SAME AS SHOWN FOR ADJACENT STRAIGHT RUN OF PIPE.
3. ALL SEWER MAINS SHALL BE BELL AND SPIGOT, EXTRA -STRENGTH VITRIFIED CLAY PIPE
(VCP) UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ON THE PLANS.
4. UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED, LOW PRESSURE WATER TEST FOR GRAVITY SEWER LINES AND
PRESSURE WATER TEST FOR THE PRESSURIZED PIPELINE SHALL BE PERFORMED IN CORF❑RMANCE
WITH SECTI❑N 306-1.4 OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATI❑NS FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION.
5. PRI❑R TO STARTING C❑NSTRUCTI❑N, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY LOCATI❑N AND
ELEVATION OF EXISTING SEWER MAIN(S) AND NOTIFY AND OBTAIN APPROVAL OF THE DESIGN
ENGINEER AND IEUA OF ANY VARIATI❑N FROM DESIGN.
6. ALL TRENCHING AND/OR SH❑RING SHALL MEET REQUIREMENTS OF CAL -OSHA.
7. L❑CATION AND NUMBER OF PIPE HANGERS AND PIPE SUPPORTS SHOWN IS ONLY APPROXIMATE.
FINAL SUPPORT REQUIREMENTS SHALL BE DETERMINED IN THE FIELD AND APPROVED BY THE
ENGINEER PRI❑R TO INSTALLATI❑N.
8. APPROPRIATE STANDARD WALL PIPE DETAIL SHALL BE USED WHEREVER PIPING PASSES FROM
A STRUCTURE TO BACKFILL.
9. ALL FLEXIBLE CONNECTORS OR FLANGED COUPLING ADAPTERS SHOWN ON DRAWINGS BELOW
GROUND SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH THRUST TIES, BLOCKS, OR ANCHORS UNLESS OTHERWISE
NOTED. THRUST PR❑TECTI❑N SHALL BE ADEQUATE FOR THE TEST PRESSURES INDICATED.
10. SYMBOLS, LEGENDS, AND PIPE USE IDENTIFICATIONS SHOWN SHALL BE FOLLOWED
THROUGHOUT THE DRAWINGS, WHEREVER APPLICABLE. ALL OF THE VARIOUS APPLICATIONS ARE
NOT NECESSARILY USED IN THE PROJECT.
11. ALL PIPING SPECIFIED TO BE PRESSURE TESTED, EXCEPT FLANGED, WELDED GROOVED END
OR SCREWED PIPING, SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH THRUST PROTECTION AT ALL DIRECTION
CHANGES, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. SEE THRUST DETAILS AND NOTES ON DRAWINGS.
12. NUMBER AND L❑CATI❑N OF UNI❑NS SHOWN ON DRAWINGS ARE ONLY APPROXIMATE. PROVIDE
ALL UNIONS NECESSARY TO FACILITATE CONVENIENT REMOVAL OF VALVES AND MECHANICAL
EQUIPMENT.
13. UPON APPROVAL BY THE ENGINEER, ALL PIPELINES SHOWN ON DRAWINGS TO BE ABANDONED
SHALL BE PROPERLY CUT AND PLUGGED WITH N❑N-METALLIC GROUT OR CEMENT CONCRETE.

IEUA SEWER GENERAL NOTES
1. ALL WORK SHALL BE DONE IN STRICT CONFORMANCE WITH THE PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS AS
APPROVED BY THE INLAND EMPIRE UTILITIES AGENCY (IEUA), THE CITY OF ONTARIO AND THE
CITY OF FONTANA AND THE STANDARD SPECIFICATI❑NS FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION
(LATEST EDITION) AND THE IEUA STANDARD DETAIL SHEET OF THIS PLAN SET (SHEET NO. 4) AS
APPROPRIATE.
2. ANY CONTRACTOR PERFORMING WORK ON THIS PROJECT SHALL FAMILIARIZE HIMSELF WITH
THE SITE AND SHALL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO EXISTING FACILITIES
RESULTING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM HIS ❑PERATI❑NS, WHETHER OR NOT SHOWN ON THESE
PLANS.
3. ALL OBSTRUCTIONS WITHIN THE AREA TO BE IMPROVED ARE TO BE REMOVED OR RELOCATED
AT THE DIRECTI❑N OF THE ENGINEER. UTILITIES ARE TO BE RELOCATED BY THEIR RESPECTIVE
OWNERS. THE CONTRACTOR IS REFERRED TO SECTION 5 OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR
PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION.
4. UTILITY LINE L❑CATI❑NS WERE TAKEN FROM RECORD AND WERE NOT LOCATED IN THE FIELD
UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ON THE PLAN. THE CONTRACTOR IS REFERRED TO SECTI❑N 5 OF
THE STANDARD SPECIFICATI❑NS FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION.
5. IN CASE OF ANY ACCIDENTS INVOLVING SAFETY MATTERS COVERED BY SECTI❑N 6424 OF
THE CALIFORNIA LABOR CODE, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE STATE
DIVISI❑N OF INDUSTRIAL SAFETY.
6. CALL UNDERGROUND SERVICE ALERT (800-422-4133) FOR UNDERGROUND LOCATIONS 48 HOURS
BEFORE DIGGING.
7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN A TRAFFIC CONTROL PERMIT 48 -HRS PRIOR TO THE TIME OF
CONSTRUCTION WITHIN THE PUBLIC RIGHT -❑F -WAY. THE CONTRACTOR IS REFERRED TO SECTION
7-10.3 OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RENEW OR REPLACE ANY EXISTING TRAFFIC STRIPING AND/OR
PAVEMENT MARKINGS WHICH DURING HIS OPERATI❑NS HAVE BEEN EITHER REMOVED OR THE
EFFECTIVENESS OF WHICH HAS BEEN REDUCED. RENEWAL OF PAVEMENT STRIPING & MARKINGS
SHALL BE DONE IN CONFORMANCE WITH SECTI❑N 310-5.6 OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR
PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION.
9. ALL SEWER MAINS SHALL BE BELL & SPIGOT, EXTRA -STRENGTH VIRTIFIED CLAY PIPE (VCP)
UNLESS OTHER WISE NOTED ON THE PLANS.
10. PRIOR TO STARTING C❑NSTRUCTI❑N, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY L❑CATION AND
ELEVATION OF EXISTING SEWER MAIN(S) AND NOTIFY AND OBTAIN APPROVAL OF THE DESIGN
ENGINEER AND IEUA OF ANY VARIATION FROM DESIGN.
11. CONSTRUCTION SHALL NOT BEGIN ON FACILITIES TO BE OWNED BY IEUA UNTIL AFTER THE
ISSUANCE OF A PERMIT BY IEUA TO ALLOW THE CONSTRUCTION AND ALSO AFTER A
PRE-CONSTRUCTI❑N CONFERENCE TO BE HELD AT LEAST 1 WEEK PRIOR TO BEGINNING
CONSTRUCTION.
12. IN ADDITION, IEUA AND THE CITY OF ONTARIO AND THE CITY OF FONTANA SHALL BE
NOTIFIED A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS PRI❑R TO ANY CONSTRUCTI❑N IN THE VICINITY OF THE
TRUNK SEWER OR ANY FACILITIES OWNED AND OPERATED BY IEUA AND/OR THE CITY OF
ONTARIO AND THE CITY OF FONTANA.
13. ALL TRENCHING AND/OR SHORING SHALL MEET REQUIREMENTS OF CAL -OSHA.
14. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT COPIES OF HIS DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL SAFETY PERMIT
TO IEUA AND TO THE CITY OF ONTARIO AND THE CITY OF FONTANA.
15. SHOP DRAWINGS AS REQUIRED BY THE PERMIT SHALL BE APPROVED BY IEUA PRIOR TO
BEGINNING OF THE C❑NSTRUCTI❑N.
16. UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED, LOW PRESSURE WATER TEST FOR THE GRAVITY SEWER LINES
AND PRESSURE WATER TEST FOR THE PRESSURIZED PIPELINES SHALL BE PERFORMED IN
CONFORMANCE WITH SECTION 306-1.4. OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS

IEUA PIPE SUPPORT NOTES
1. ALL CROSSING HOUSE LATERALS 10' AND SMALLER SHALL BE SUPPORTED BY USE OF CASE 3
PIPE SUPPORT DETAIL.
2. ALL N❑N-METALLIC CROSSING PIPELINE AND CONDUITS WITH 18' OR LESS CLEARANCE, EXCEPT
THOSE COVERED BY NOTE 1 ABOVE, SHALL BE SUPPORTED BY CASE 2 PIPE SUPPORT DETAIL.
3. ALL NON-METALLIC CROSSING PIPELINE AND CONDUITS NOT COVERED BY THE ABOVE NOTES 1
OR 2 SHALL BE SUPPORTED BY THE USE OF CASE 2 PIPE SUPPORT DETAIL.
4. BACKFILL SHALL BE BROUGHT UP UNIFORMLY ALONG BOTH SIDES OF PROTECTED PIPE AND
SUPPORT SO AS TO INDUCE NO UNBALANCED FORCE.
5. CROSSING METALLIC CONDUITS 3 INCHES (NOMINAL SIZE) AND LARGER SHALL BE BACKFILLED
TO 2'-0' BELOW THE CROSSING CONDUIT WITH MATERIALS AS DESCRIBED IN THE DISTRICT'S
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PIPE BEDDING AND TRENCH BACKFILL. THE TRENCH SHALL THEN
BE BACKFILLED TO 12 INCHES OVER THE CONDUIT WITH CLEAN, MOISTENED SAND (SAND
EQUIVALENT OVER 30), BROUGHT UP IN LAYERS OF NOT OVER 6 INCHES AND MECHANICALLY
COMPACTED TO A RELATIVE DENSITY OF AT LEAST 90% WITH SPECIAL ATTENTI❑N BEING GIVEN
TO THE PIPE BOTTOM AND HAUNCH AREAS OF THE BACKFILL.
6. IF BEDDING IS REMOVED FROM THE EXISTING PIPE THAT WILL REMAIN IN PLACE, THE PIPE
SHALL BE EMBEDDED WITH CONCRETE AT NO EXTRA COST TO THE AGENCY.
7. UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED, CONCRETE SHALL BE CLASS 420-C-2000.
CONDUCT OF CONSTRUCTION
THE CONTRACT DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATI❑NS REPRESENT THE FINISHED WORK AND ENGINEER'S
RIGHT TO INSPECT OR SUSPEND THE WORK IS LIMITED THERETO. THE ENGINEER WILL NOT BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR AND WILL NOT HAVE CONTROL OR CHARGE OF C❑NSTRUCTI❑N MEANS,
METHODS, TECHNIQUES, SEQUENCES OR PROCEDURES, OR FOR SAFETY PRECAUTI❑NS AND
PROGRAMS IN C❑NNECTI❑N WITH THE WORK. THE ENGINEER WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR AND
WILL NOT HAVE CONTROL OR CHARGE OVER THE ACTS OR ❑MISSI❑NS OF THE CONTRACTOR,
SUBCONTRACTORS, OR ANY OF THEIR AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES, OR ANY OTHER PERSONS
PERFORMING ANY DF THE WORK.
PRIVATE ENGINEER'S NOTICE TO CONTRACTOR
THE EXISTENCE AND L❑CATI❑N OF ANY UNDERGROUND UTILITY PIPES OR STRUCTURES SHOWN ON
THESE PLANS ARE OBTAINED BY A SEARCH OF AVAILABLE RECORDS. THESE L❑CATI❑NS ARE
APPROXIMATE AND SHALL BE CONFIRMED BY THE CONTRACTOR, SO THAT ANY NECESSARY
ADJUSTMENT CAN BE MADE IN ALIGNMENT AND/OR GRADE OF THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT. THE
CONTRACTOR IS REQUIRED TO TAKE DUE PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES TO PROTECT ANY UTILITY
LINES SHOWN AND ANY OTHER LINES NOT ON RECORD ❑R NOT SHOWN ON THESE PLANS.
CONTRACTOR AGREES THAT HE SHALL ASSUME SOLE AND COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY FOR JOB
SITE C❑NDITI❑NS DURING THE COURSE OF C❑NSTRUCTI❑N OF THIS PROJECT, INCLUDING SAFETY
OF ALL PERSONS AND PROPERTY) THAT THIS REQUIREMENT SHALL APPLY CONTINUOUSLY AND NOT
BE LIMITED TO NORMAL WORKING HOURS, AND THAT THE CONTRACTOR SHALL DEFEND, INDEMNIFY

6. STATE LAW (SB 3019) REQUIRES THE CONTRACTOR TO CONTACT UNDERGROUND SERVICE ALERT
AND OBTAIN AN IDENTIFICATI❑N NUMBER PRI❑R TO THE ISSUANCE OF CITY'S ENCROACHMENT
PERMIT. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY UNDERGROUND SERVICE ALERT AT 1-800-227-2600 A

7. PRIOR TO THE START OF ANY WORK THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN A BUSINESS LICENSE
FROM THE CITY OF ONTARIO. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO OBTAIN AN ENCROACHMENT PERMIT
FROM THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT NO LESS THAN 48 HOURS PRIOR TO START OF ANY
CONSTRUCTION WITHIN THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN A TRAFFIC CONTROL PERMIT 48 HOURS PRI❑R TO TIME OF
CONSTRUCTION WITHIN THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY. THE CONTRACTOR IS REFERRED TO SECTI❑N
7-10.3 OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATI❑NS FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RENEW OR REPLACE ANY EXISTING TRAFFIC STRIPING AND/OR

10. THE LAND SURVEYORS ACT, SECTION 8771 OF THE BUSINESS & PR❑FESSI❑NAL CODE, AND
SECTI❑NS 732.5, 1492-5, 1810-5 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAY CODE REQUIRE THAT SURVEY
MONUMENTS SHALL BE PROTECTED AND PERPETUATED.
'IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DEVELOPER OR OTHERS PERFORMING THE
C❑NSTRUCTI❑N WORK TO RETAIN A QUALIFIED REGISTERED CIVIL ENGINEER AND/OR LICENSED
LAND SURVEYOR PRI❑R TO THE START OF C❑NSTRUCTI❑N TO LOCATE, REFERENCE AND FILE THE
NECESSARY CORNER RECORDS WITH THE COUNTY SURVEYOR'S OFFICE FOR SURVEY CONTROL

INCLUDE A CITY REPRESENTATIVE AND THE CONTRACTOR WHO WILL PERFORM THE WORK.
'CUT -SHEETS' SHALL BE PROVIDED TO THE CITY AT THIS MEETING FOR ITS REVIEW.
14. CITY ACCEPTANCE OF PLANS DOES NOT RELIEVE THE DEVELOPER FROM RESPONSIBILITY FOR
THE C❑RRECTI❑N OF ERROR AND OMISSION DISCOVERED DURING C❑NSTRUCTI❑N. UPON REQUEST
OF THE CITY INSPECT❑R, THE REQUIRED PLAN REVISIONS SHALL BE PROMPTLY SUBMITTED TO
THE CITY ENGINEER FOR REVIEW.
15. ANY REQUIRED RIGHT -❑F -WAY OR EASEMENT SHALL BE DEDICATED TO AND ACCEPTED BY THE
CITY PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE REQUIRED

5 FEET OR GREATER IN DEPTH FROM THE CALIFORNIA STATE DIVISION OF INDUSTRIAL SAFETY.
8. THE WALLS AND FACES OF ALL EXCAVATORS GREATER THAN FIVE (5) FEET IN DEPTH SHALL BE
GUARDED BY SH❑RING, SL❑PING OF THE GROUND OR OTHER APPROVED MEANS PURSUANT TO THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THE DIVISION OF INDUSTRIAL SAFETY OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. TRENCHES LESS
THAN FIVE (5) FEET SHALL ALSO BE GUARDED WHEN THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR GROUND MOVEMENT.
