Existing cables and conductors in existing runs 1, 2, 3, & 4 shall remain as is. 2. Remove and discard all cables and conductors in existing runs 8, 9, 10 & 11. 3. Install all new cables and conductors in runs 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 per the above CONDUCTOR SCHEDULE. 4. Extend existing conduit run 8 as shown on the plan. CONSTRUCTION NOTES ❑1 — Existing Type 90 Controller. Q2 — Existing Type III—BF service equipment enclosure. E — Furnish and install Image Sensor Unit per City Standard Drawing 133 and as directed by the Engineer. (See Special Provisions). E — Furnish and install DETAIL "A" sign per CALTRANS Standard ES -6T, Detail U. — Remove existing R96/96A sign from signal pole. 8 — This plan provides for an ultimate 8 phase traffic signal operation. However, 03 and 08 will not be used until Clubhouse Drive is exended to the east. The Contractor shall make the necessary modifications to the existing controller cabinet assembly and install the poles, mast arms, video detection, EVP's, vehicle and pedestrian signal heads, pedestrian pushbuttons, etc. shown on the plan. The visors for the unused 03 and 08 vehicle signal heads shall be filled with Styrofoam. Equipment for the unused 03 and 08 movements shall b disconnected/turned off in the controller cabinet as directed by the Engineer. GENERAL NOTES 1. All work and material shown on this plan shall conform to the State of California, Department of Transportation (CALTRANS) Standard Specifications and Standard Plans dated July 1992. 2. The city right—of way shall be kept clear of debris, with dust and other nuisances being controlled at all times. The Contractor shall be responsible for any clean up on city right—of—way affected by his construction. The method cf street cleaning shall be by dry sweeping of all paved areas. There shall be no stockpiling of construction materials within the city right—of—way without permission from the Engineer. 3. The Contractor shall determine the exact location of all underground facilities and provide protection prior to and during trenching, jacking or borirg. Contact UNDERGROUND SERVICE ALERT (USA) at (800) 227-2600, and all utility companies involved at least 48 hours before excavating. 4. The Contractor shall obtain all necessary permits. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to coordinate all phases of construction with the various utility companies involved. 5. Location of all equipment shall be approved by the Engineer prior to final placement. 6. All pull boxes shall be No. 6 unless otherwise noted on the plan. 7. All vehicle heads shall be cast aluminum with 12" indications. All backplates shall be metallic and louvered. 8. Mast arm signs shown on the plan shall be furnished by the Contractor. 9. All vehicle and pedestrian signal face sections shall be LED'S, per Special Provisions.
