Com. Dev .Dept. Engineering Div. prior to construction.
2. The contractor shall call for pre—job meeting through the City of Fontana
Comm Dev. Dept. Eng. Div. Public Works Inspection section 24 hours prior to starting work.
3. The contractor shall call Underground Service Alert (1-800-422-4133) two days
prior to any _excavation.
4. All grading shall be accomplished by separate grading plan and permit, obtained
from Public Works Department.
5. Hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. — Monday through Friday, for all
public right—of—way landscape development.
6. Separate permits shall be required for any improvement work in the public right—
of—way.
7. Repair or replace all damaged or altered public improvements as required by the
City Engineer in the field.
8. All survey monuments shall be protected and perpetuated in place. Any disturbed
or covered monuments shall be reset by a qualified registered civil engineer or a
licensed land surveyor at the direction of the City Engineer.
9. It shall be the contractor's responsibility to verify the location of all utilities or

structures above or below ground, shown or not shown on these plans. He will
be held responsible for all damage to any utilities or structures caused by his
operation.
9. Traffic Control Plan to be submitted to traffic Engineering for approval prior to field
construction.
10. The City of Fontana "Specificartion Manual for Streetscapes" shall become a
part of this document
1. All CFD/LMD areas are to be maintained by the contractor/developer for a minimum
of 90 days and request a walk—thru every 30 days by the
Public Works Inspection Section, Engineering Div. Com. Dev. Dept.
2. All areas must be maintained in a healthy, weed free, and vigorous condition
prior to acceptance by the City.
3. A minimum of one punch list will be developed by the City to note deficiencies
to be corrected prior to acceptance.
Inspections:
1. It is the Landscape Contractor's responsibility to contact the Engineering Division's Landscape
Inspector 48 hours prior to desired inspection of an item at (909) 350-6633.
2. Proir to release of utilities or maintenance period commencement the following inspections
are required:
Pre construction meeting
Inspection of irrigation system in open trench condition (prior to backfill).
Mainline pressure test 0 150 PSI for three (3) hours continuous period.
Irrigation coverage tests including initial and final tests.
Finish grade proir to planting.
Plant materials prior to planting and soil preparation.
Planting, including street trees. Contact the Parks Planning and Landscape Development
Section, Engineering Division, for species and final locations.
Compiance with approved plans
Final inspection.
3. The Owner's representative and landscape contractor shall be present at each inspection.

HOLD HARMLESS & INDEMNIFICATION CLAUSE
Contractor agrees that he shall assume sole responsibility for job site conditions during the course
of construction of this project, including safety of all persons and property; that this requirement
shall apply continuously and not be limited to normal working hours, and hold the city and the
landscape architect harmless from any and all liability real or alleged, in connection with the
performance of work on this project, excepting for liability arising from the sole negligence of the
owner, city or landscape architect.
