ALL WORK, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT FOR TRAFFIC SIGNING AND STRIPING SHALL CONFORM TO THESE PLANS AND THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CITY OF FONTANA AND THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DATED JULY 1992 (NON METRIC EDITION) 2. PAVEMENT MARKERS AND TRAFFIC STRIPING DIMENSIONS SHALL CONFORM TO CALTRANS STANDARD PLANS. 3. PAVEMENT MARKING SHALL MATCH THE CITY OF FONTANA STANDARD STENCILS. 4. TRAFFIC STRIPING AND PAVEMENT MARKINGS SHALL BE THERMOPLASTIC WITH ALKYD BINDER AND SHALL BE APPLIED PER SECTION 84 OF CALTRANS STANDARDS. ALL STRIPING SHALL INCLUDE RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS PER SECTION 85. 5. TRAFFIC SIGN DIMENSIONS, COLOR AND LETTERING SHALL CONFORM TO THE LATEST CALTRANS SIGN SPECIFICATIONS SHEETS. SIGN CODES SHOWN HEREON ARE TO CONFORM TO CALTRANS SPECIFICATIONS SHEET CODES. TRAFFIC SIGN SIZE SHALL BE STANDARD UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ON PALNS. 6. ALL SIGNS SHALL BE MOUNTED ON A GALVANIZED STEEL POST, UNLESS OTHERWISE SHOWN, PER CITY STD. DETAIL 139. 7. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBLITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MAINTAIN BARRICADES. TRAFFIC SIGNS OR OTHER TRAFFIC CONTROL AT ALL TIMES. 8. CONTROL POINTS OR "CAT -TRACKING" SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER 2 WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO STRIPNG APPLICATION. 9. CROSSWALKS SHALL HAVE 10' BETWEEN THE CENTERLINE OF 12" STRIPES PER CITY STANDARD DRAWING NO. 1006. 10. ALL TEMPORARY STRIPING SHALL BE PAINT AND SHALL BE APPLIED IN TWO SEPARATE COATS.
