THE FONTANA WATER DISTRICT WAS UNABLE TO GIVE A PRECISE
PRESSURE READING AT THE SITE. THE CITY PREFORMED A
PRESSURE TEST FROM A HYDRANT ON CITRUS AVE. ACCROSS FROM
THE PROJECT.

Contractor shall verify the static water pressure with supplier prior to installation.
If different from PSI noted above, Contractor to notify Owner for instructions.
Failure to do so will result in contractor being responsible for changes that might
occur.
POINT OF CONNECTION:
(5) 2" Water meters to manifold into (1) p.o.c. , Refer to civil plans.
System requires the contractor to provide a Bear State Pump,
( SEE THIS SHEET FOR BOOSTER PUMP NOTE)
Contractor to install a (3) 2" Febco 825Y reduced pressure type
back flow preventer and locate in individual Strong Box vandal resistant,
stainless steel enclosures. Verify enclosure size prior to purchase.
Coordinate locations with City Inspector.

HYDROBOOST BOOSTER PUMP SYSTEM
Factory prepiped and prewired, mounted on a galvanized steel skid base, with
stainless steel control panel, flanged bronze fitted pump, three phase motor
TEFC, interconnecting piping and wiring, pressure reducing valve, full size
bypass line, system complete with liquid filled gauges and galvanized
steel enclosure mounted on a concrete pad.

SYSTEM TO CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING:
PUMP: Peerless PV 3" x 3" x 8" inline type pump with flanged inlet and outlet:
impeller and wear ring to be bronze. Mechanical seal to be a John Crane type 21.
Pump volute to be top pull out for ease of removal. Volute casing, backplate and
bracket to be fusion bond epoxy coated. Pump designed for 384 GPM @ 150'.
MIN PUMP EFFICIENCY 78%
MOTOR: 20 HP, 3550 RPM, 460V, 3 Phase, frame 254JM, close coupled
to the pump. TEFC enclosure.
ISOLATION VALVES: Bray full lug butterfly valves with 10 position
handles and aluminum bronze disc. Also a 6" one in the by-pass.
CONCRETE PAD: 84" X 36" prestressed with rebar.
PIPING: 6" schedule 40 steel of easy to disassemble flanged construction bolted
together with SS nuts and bolts. All piping to be hot dipped galvanized after fabrication.
PRV/CHECK VALVE: 4" Bermad PRV/ check valve flanged.
