CONSTRUCTION PERMITS SHALL BE OBTAINED FROM THE CITY OF ONTARIO AND THE CITY OF `BRIDGE DECK FONTANA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT, ENGINEERING DIVISION PRIOR TO THE START OF ANY WORK. INSPECTION COORDINATION SHALL BE REQUESTED AT LEAST TWO WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE START OF ANY WORK IN PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS. CALL (909) 350-7610. 2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE CITY ENGINEER FOR CLOSURE BEGINNING AND ENDING DATES. 3. THE ROAD CLOSED INFORMATIONAL SIGNS AND/OR CMS AS REQUIRED, SHALL BE POSTED A MINIMUM OF 7 DAYS PRIOR TO CLOSING (STREET NAME). FINAL PLACEMENT OF THE "ROAD CLOSED" SIGNAGE TO BE COORDINATED WITH THE CITY OF FONTANA TRAFFIC ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT AND THE CITY OF ONTARIO TRAFFIC ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT. 4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR NOTIFYING EMERGENCY SERVICES, TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, IMPACTED BUSINESSES AND RESIDENTS OF THE CLOSURE AND DETOUR ROUTE SEVEN DAYS PRIOR TO THE CLOSURE. 5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING ACCESS TO ANY PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS LOCATED WITHIN THE ROAD CLOSURE THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE IMPROVEMENTS AND DURING THE DURATION OF THE ROAD CLOSURE 24 -HOURS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK. 6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CLOSE (NUMBER OF LANES) ON (STREET NAME) FROM (FIRST BOUNDARY) TO (SECOND BOUNDARY). SIGNAL SHOULD BE SPLIT. CONTRACTOR TO 7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONFORM TO ALL TRAFFIC CONTROL POLICIES, METHODS, DETAILS, DIMENSIONS, T DON BURDEN ONTARIO TRAFFIC. DATED 95-2154. AND PROCEDURES DESCRIBED IN THE CALIFORNIA MANUAL ON TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES (M.U.T.C.D.), DATED JANUARY 2012. UPON APPROVAL, THE W.A.T.C.H. MANUAL, LATEST EDITION, MAY BE USED FOR MINOR PROJECTS OF SHORT DURATION. SIGN CODES SHALL COMPLY TO THE 2012 CALIFORNIA MANUAL ON UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES (M.U.T.C.D). 8. THE EXACT LOCATION OF ALL TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES IS SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE CITY ENGINEER. ADDITIONAL WARNING, CONSTRUCTION SIGNS OR TRAFFIC SAFETY EQUIPMENT MAY BE REQUIRED BY THE CITY ENGINEER AT ANY TIME. 9. DURING CONSTRUCTION, ALL EXISTING SIGNS THAT ARE IN CONFLICT SHALL BE COVERED OR REMOVED. ALL EXISTING STRIPING OR PAVEMENT MARKINGS THAT ARE IN CONFLICT AND/OR NO LONGER APPLICABLE SHALL BE REMOVED BY SANDBLASTING. 10. ALL WORK AREAS SHALL BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED AND DELINEATED WITH CONES, PORTABLE DELINEATORS, K -RAIL AND/OR BARRICADES. ALL PORTABLE DELINEATORS SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 36 INCHES North IN HEIGHT. ALL CONES SHALL BE A MINIMUMOF 28 INCHES IN HEIGHT. CLUE DOWN DELINEATORS 1"=40' WITH WHITE REFLECTORS ARE REQUIRED IF THE PROJECT DURATION IS LONGER THAN ONE DAY. 11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH REFLECTOR/FLASHING LIGHTS AND INSTALL THEM ON WOODEN BARRICADES AND ALL SIGNS SHALL BE REFLECTORIZED OR ILLUMINATED. 12. TRAFFIC SIGN SIZE SHALL BE FOR CONVENTIONAL ROADWAYS UNLESS OTHERWISE SHOWN ON THE PLANS.° 13. ALL SIGNS SHALL BE MOUNTED ON GALVANIZED STEEL POSTS, UNLESS OTHERWISE SHOWN,- ON THE PLANS, PER CITY STANDARD DETAIL 4003. FINAL PLACEMENT TO BE APPROVED BY THE CITY STAGE TH-6 ENGINEER.
