REQUIRED BY THE BUILDING STRUCTURAL ENGINEER, TO SUPPORT LOADS IMPOSED BY
CURTAIN WALL, CANOPIES, ALL EQUIPMENTS, PIPING, CONDUITS, CABLE TRAYS, GUIDE
RAIL SUPPORTS, CEILING, CATWALKS, ETC., ON THE PRIMARY STRUCTURE. ADDED
ANCILLARY MEMBERS SHALL BE DESIGNED TO NOT IMPOSE ANY TORSIONAL LOADS
ON THE PRIMARY STRUCTURE.
10. THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS REPRESENT THE FINISHED STRUCTURE. THEY DO NOT
INDICATE THE METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL
MEASURES NECCESSARY TO PROTECT THE STRUCTURE DURING CONSTRUCTION. SUCH
MEASURES SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO, BRACING, SHORING FOR LOADS
DUE TO CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT, ETC. OBSERVATION VISITS TO THE SITE BY THE
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER SHALL NOT INCLUDE INSPECTION OF THE ABOVE ITEMS.
11. OPENINGS, POCKETS, ETC. SHALL NOT BE PLACED IN STRUCTURAL MEMBERS UNLESS
SPECIFICALLY DETAILED ON THE STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS. NOTIFY THE STRUCTURAL
ENGINEER WHEN DRAWINGS BY OTHERS SHOW OPENINGS, POCKETS, ETC., LARGER
THAN 6 INCHES NOT SHOWN ON THE STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS, BUT WHICH ARE
LOCATED IN THE STRUCTURAL MEMBERS.
12. SPECIFICATIONS, CODES AND STANDARDS NOTED IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
SHALL BE OF THE LATEST APPLICABLE ISSUE, INCLUDING SUPPLEMENTS, UNLESS
OTHERWISE NOTED. MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS ARE ASTM LATEST EDITION.
13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INVESTIGATE SITE FOR FILLED EXCAVATIONS OR BURIED
STRUCTURES SUCH AS CESSPOOLS, CISTERNS, FOUNDATIONS, ETC. IF ANY SUCH
STRUCTURES ARE FOUND, ARCHITECT SHALL BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY.
14. CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS SHALL BE SPREAD OUT IF PLACED ON FRAMED FLOORS OR
ROOFS. LOAD SHALL NOT EXCEED THE DESIGN LIVE LOAD PER SQUARE FOOT. PROVIDE
ADEQUATE SHORING AND/OR BRACING WHERE STRUCTURE HAS NOT ATTAINED DESIGNED
STRENGTH OR WHERE OVERLOAD IS ANTICIPATED.
15. THE LATERAL SYSTEM OF THE STRUCTURE IS DESIGNED WITH LATERAL RESTRAINT AT THE
UPPER AND LOWER FOUNDATION LEVEL. STRUCTURAL FRAMES ARE NOT LATERALLY SELF
SUPPORTING UNTIL THE ENTIRE DESIGN LATERAL RESTRAINT FLOOR AND STRUCTURAL
WALLS BELOW ARE IN PLACE.
STRUCTURAL FLOOR ELEVATIONS I FOUNDATIONS
1. THE FLOOR DATUM ELEVATIONS PROVIDED BELOW ARE BASED ON A PROJECT DATUM GENERAL
ELEVATION OF 0'-0" AT THE TOP OF CONCRETE FLOOR SLAB AT UPPER LVL. SEE CIVIL DRAWINGS
FOR THE ACTUAL ELEVATION WITH RESPECT TO SEA LEVEL OF PROJECT DATUM ELEVATION AT 1. FOUNDATION DESIGNED BASED ON SOIL REPORT BY THE FOLLOWING COMPANY:
UPPER LEVEL. GEOBASE, INC., REPORT # C.314.29.00 DATED DECEMBER 14, 2007 ALL SUBSEQUENT ADDENDA
2. ELEVATIONS THAT VARY FROM THE FLOOR DATUM ELEVATIONS ON THIS PROJECT INCLUDE DATED OCTOBER 31, 2008 .COPIES ARE AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW AT THE ARCHITECT'S OFFICE.
BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
A. SLOPING ROOF SLABS AND SLOPING ROOF STEEL. FLOOR DATUM ELEVATIONS FOR THE 2. FOUNDATION DESIGN BASED ON FOLLOWING:
ROOF SLAB ARE FOR THE LOW POINT OF THE ROOF. A. MAT FOUNDATION DESIGNED FOR ALLOWABLE NET MAXIMUM
B. FLOOR DEPRESSIONS FOR EQUIPMENT DL + LL = 1,500
B. COEFFICIENT OF SLIDING FRICTION = 0.40.
C. IN ALL CASES, A 1/3 INCREASE MAY BE TAKEN FOR WIND OR SEISMIC LOADS.
3. FLOOR DATUM ELEVATIONS FOR TOP OF CONCRETE (TOC) AND TOP OF STEEL (TOS) ARE AS
