AREAS ARE FOR DESIGN CLARIFICATION ONLY AND SHALL BE INSTALLED IN PLANTING
AREAS WHEREVER POSSIBLE.
2. D❑ NOT WILLFULLY INSTALL THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM AS INDICATED ON THE
DRAWINGS WHEN IT IS OBVIOUS IN THE FIELD THAT UNKNOWN OBSTRUCTIONS OR GRADE
DIFFERENCES EXIST AND SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE OWNER'S

3. SYSTEM DESIGN IS BASED ON MINIMUM OPERATING PRESSURE SHOWN AT EACH
P❑INT OF CONNECTION WITH MAXIMUM GPM DEMAND SPECIFIED. IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR
SHALL VERIFY ALL PRESSURES ON SITE PRI❑R TO C❑NSTRUCTI❑N TO OWNER'S
CONSTRUCTION REPRESENTATIVE.
4. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR TO FAMILIARIZE HIMSELF
WITH ALL GRADE DIFFERENCES. LOCATION OF WALLS, RETAINING WALLS, CURBS, ETC. HE
SHALL COORDINATE ALL HIS WORK WITH THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND OTHER SUB-
CONTRACTORS FOR LOCATI❑N OF PIPE SLEEVES THROUGH WALLS, UNDER ROADS,
PAVING AND STRUCTURES.
5. MAINLINE FEEDER BETWEEN POINT OF CONNECTION, METER, AND BACKFLOW
PREVENTER TO BE OF MATERIAL REQUIRED BY CURRENT WATER DISTRICT.
6. FINAL LOCATION OF THE AUTOMATIC CONTROLLER ENCLOSURE AND THE BACKFLOW
PREVENTION DEVICE SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE CITY'S AND OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE, AND/OR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT, WHERE APPLICABLE.
7. IN ADDITI❑N TO THE SLEEVES SHOWN ON THE PLAN, THE IRRIGATI❑N CONTRACTOR
SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ADDITIONAL SLEEVES OF SUFFICIENT
SIZE UNDER ALL PAVED AREAS PRIOR TO PAVING UPON APPROVAL OF THE OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE, IF REQUIRED TO OPERATE SYSTEMS,
8. IRRIGATI❑N CONTRACTOR SHALL FLUSH ALL LINES AND ADJUST ALL HEADS FOR
MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE ANDTO PREVENT OVERSPRAY ONTO WALKS, STREETS, AND
BUILDINGS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. THIS SHALL INCLUDE SELECTIONG THE BEST NOZZLE
RADIUS TO FIT UNUSUAL SITE CONDITIONS FOR APPROVAL PURPOSES AT NO EXTRA
CHARGE.
9. QUALITY CONTROL OBSERVATION SEQUENCES ARE FOUND IN THE SPECIFICATIONS
10. CLEAN-UP ON A DAILY BASIS PER OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE'S APPROVAL.
11. CONTRACTOR TO INSTALL EXTRA CONTROL PIL❑T WIRES FROM EACH CONTROLLER
AND LOOPED UP INTO EACH VALVE BOX (24' COIL) TO THE END OF SYSTEM. THE EXTRA
WIRES SHALL BE IDENTIFIED AS EXTRA AND NUMBERS WITH TAGS AT EACH VALVE BOX
AND AT ALL CONTROLLERS,

3. THE OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE AND LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR SHALL

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM A THROUGH WEED ABATEMENT PROGRAM, KILLING AND REMOVING
ALL WEEDS FROM THE SITE AND SHALL BE COMPLETED PRI❑R TO THE ADDITION OF ANY SOIL AMMENDMENTS.
THIS SHALL BE DONE FOR ALL PLANTING AREAS, SPECIFICALLY BUT NOT LIMITED TO SLOPES AND
GROUNDC❑VER AREAS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FOLLOW THE FOLL❑WING STEPS.
1. KILL AND REMOVE ALL EXISTING WEEDS.
2. IRRIGATE ALL AREAS TO BE PLANTED FOR (2) WEEKS
3. KILL AND REMOVE ALL NEWLY GERMINATED WEEDS.
4. REPEAT STEPS 2 AND 3.
5. PLANT OR HYDR❑SEED GROUNDC❑VER
6. APPLY PRE -EMERGENT HERBICIDE AFTER PLANTING OR HYDR❑SEED GERMINATI❑N

AGRICULTURAL LAB❑RT❑RIES WITH COPIES SENT TO THE OWNER PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.

THE FOLLOWING IS PROVIDED FOR BID PURPOSES ONLY AND SHALL BE MODIFIED AS NECESSARY GIVEN
THE RESULTS OF THE SOILS TEST. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE PREPARED TO PROVIDE DELIVERY
SLIPS AND EMPTY FERTILIZER BAGS ON SITE FOR VERIFICATI❑N OF MATERIAL.
