REINFORCED CONCRETE GENERAL I. All reinforced concrete materials and construction shall conform to chapter 19, G.B.G. MATERIALS 2. Gement shall conform to G.B.G. 1903 of G.B.G. and shall correspond to that on which the selection of concrete proportions were based. 3. Concrete aggregates shall conform to G.B.G. 1,105 4. Use type V cement for concrete in contact with soll containing sulfate. (min. c =4500 psi, 26 days). Refer to section 1904 of Building Code for special exposure conditions as required by Soils Engineer 4 see Corrlson Engineer's recommendations for concrete exposed to corrlson. 5. Reinforcing steel shall conform to ASTM A615. Grade 40 for sizes #3 and s4 and grade 60 for sizes s5 and larger. 6. Dowels shall be equal In size and spacing. STRENGTH T Concrete shall be proportioned to provide a minimum compressive strength, Pc, equal to 2500 psi (28 days), unless noted otherwise. b. All reinforcing, dowels, holdowns, and other Inserts shall be secured In position and approved by the local building official prior to the pouring of any concrete.
