CITY REQUIRED NOTES
INSPECTIONS:
1. IT IS THE LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT THE
ENGINEERING DIVISION'S LANDSCAPE INSPECTOR 48 HOURS PRIOR TO DESIRED
INSPECTION OF AN ITEM AT (909) 350-6633.
2. PRIOR TO RELEASE OF UTILITIES OR MAINTENANCE PERIOD COMMENCEMENT
THE FOLLOWING INSPECTIONS ARE REQUIRED.
PRE -CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION
SAMPLE DECORATIVE COBBLE STONE IN ISLANDS
INSPECTION OF IRRIGATION SYSTEM IN OPEN TRENCH CONDITION (PRIOR TO
BACKFILL). MAINLINE PRESSURE TEST AT 150 PSI FOR A THREE (3) HOUR
CONTINUOUS PERIOD.
IRRIGATION COVERAGE TESTS INCLUDE INITIAL AND FINAL TESTS.
FINISH GRADE PRIOR TO PLANTING.
PLANT MATERIALS PRIOR TO PLANTING AND SOIL PREPARATION.
PLANTING, INCLUDING STREET TREES. CONTACT THE PARKS PLANNING AND
LANDSCAPE DEVELOPMENT SECTION, ENGINEERING DIVISION, FOR SPECIES AND
FINAL LOCATIONS.
COMPLIANCE WITH APPROVED PLANS.
FINAL INSPECTION.
3. THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE AND LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE
PRESENT AT EACH INSPECTION.

UTILITY LINES AND SERVICES IS FROM THE BEST SOURCES AVAILABLE. ALL
SUCH INFORMATION IS FURNISHED ONLY FOR INFORMATION AND IS NOT
GUARANTEED. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL EXCAVATE TEST PITS AS REQUIRED TO
DETERMINE EXACT LOCATIONS OF EXISTING UTILITIES.
CALL UTILITY LOCATING SERVICE FOR PRECISE UTILITY LOCATIONS BEFORE
BEGINNING ANY WORK. UNDERGROUND SERVICE ALERT (800) 227-2600
UTILITY REQUIREMENTS - THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE FOLLOWING
AGENCIES AT LEAST 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF EXCAVATING AROUND ANY OF
THEIR STRUCTURES. THE UTILITY COMPANIES LISTED BELOW SHALL BE
CONTACTED:
- GAS COMPANY
- TELEPHONE COMPANY
- ELECTRICAL POWER COMPANY
- CABLE TELEVISION COMPANY
- WATER SUPPLY COMPANY
THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION MANDATES THAT, IN THE
INTEREST OF PUBLIC SAFETY, MAIN LINE GAS VALVES BE MAINTAINED IN A
MANNER TO BE READILY ACCESSIBLE AND IN GOOD OPERATING CONDITION. THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE GAS COMPANY'S HEADQUARTERS PLANNING OFFICE
AT LEAST TWO (2) WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION.
