THESE NOTES ARE TO BE USED FOR GENERAL REFERENCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH AND AS A SUPPLEMENT TO "THE WRITTEN SPECIFICATIONS, APPROVED ADDENDUMS, AND CHANGE ORDERS AS ASSOCIATED WITH THESE LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS. 2. ALL WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND PER GOVERNING CODES AND ORDINANCES. 3. CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES IMPOSED, UNINTENTIONALLY OR ACCIDENTALLY, TO EXISTING UTILITIES, STRUCTURES, WALLS OR OTHER AMENITIES, DUE TO THE ACTION OF THE CONTRACTOR, CONTRACTOR'S EMPLOYEES AND/OR THE CONTRACTOR'S SUBCONTRACTORS. 4. ALL PLANT LOCATIONS ARE SHOWN DIAGRAMMATICALLY. EXACT PLACEMENT OF ALL PLANT MATERIAL SHALL BE LOCATED IN THE FIELD BY THE CONTRACTOR WITH STAKES, PAINT, ETC., BUT SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE CITY INSPECTOR PRIOR TO EXCAVATION OF PLANT PITS. LOCATION ADJUSTMENTS WILL OCCUR WITHOUT CHANGES TO COST OR SCHEDULE. 5 ALL PLANT QUANTITIES SHOWN ON THESE PLANS ARE ESTIMATES ONLY AND ARE NOT GUARANTEED. CONTRACTOR SHALL PREPARE HIS OWN QUANTITY TAKE—OFFS AND SHALL FULFILL THE INTENT OF THE DRAWINGS. 6 CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE BARRICADES AND TRAFFIC CONTROL ALONG PUBLIC STREETS IF REQUIRED DURING INSTALLATION, 7. ALL PLANT MATERIAL SHALL BE OF SELECT "A-1" QUALITY OF GOOD SIZE AND UNIFORMITY. NOTIFY THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT AND/OR THE OWNER'S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE FOR MATERIAL INSPECTION PRIOR TO SHIPPING TO PROJECT SITE. THE OWNER'S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY UNSUITABLE OR OBJECTIONABLE PLANT MATERIAL. ALL MATERIAL SHALL BE PROVIDED BY A CERTIFIED NURSERY AND SHALL BE FREE OF ANY PEST OR DISEASE. 8. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROPERLY COORDINATE HIS WORK WITH OTHERS CONTRACTORS' WORK PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BECOME FAMILIARY WITH THE LOCATIONS OF EXISTING AND FUTURE UNDER— GROUND SERVICES AND IMPROVEMENTS WHICH MAY CONFLICT WITH THE WORK TO BE DONE. NOTIFY THE OWNER'S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE IMMEDIATELY SHOULD CONFLICT ARISE. 9. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO REPORT TO THE OWNER'S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE ANY DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN THE PLAN AND FIELD CONDITIONS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF THE WORK. 10. CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN ONE (1) AGRICULTURAL SOIL SUITABILITY TESTS WITH LABORATORY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SOIL PREPARATION AND BACKFILL AMENDMENTS.
