Notes:
1. Site plan designated parking spaces for low-emmiting, fuel efficient and car pool vehicles
per CGBSC Table 5.106.5.2.
199 total parking stalls require a total of 16 designated stalls.
Low -emitting, fuel efficient vehicle parking spaces shall be identified with the words
"CLEAN AIR VEHICLE. The bottom edge of the word "VEHICLE" shall align with the
end of the stall striping and be visible beneath a parked vehicle.
2. Permanently anchored bicycle racks within 100 ft of the public entrance, readily visible
to passers-by per CGBSC sec. 5.106.4.2. Use City standard LA Steel Craft WRV-700.
199 total parking stalls require 10 bike rack spaces.
3. Disabled accessible parking spaces shall conform to the following:
9'-0" x 18'-0" space with a striped 6-0" wide loading and unloading area located on
the passenger side (double accessible spaces may utilize the same 5'-0" space. Not
less than one van accessible space shall be provided with a 8' access aisle located on
the passenger side.
* Parking space(s) shall be located on the shortest accessible route of travel serving the
accessible entrance. Buildings with multiple accessible
entrances, accessible parking spaces shall be dispersed and located closest to the
accessible entrances. CBC sec. 1129 B
* Ramps shall not en6roach into any accessible parking space or the adjacent access isle.
* The parking space and unloading area shall not exceed 2% slope in any direction.
* All spaces shall be identified with the International Symbol of Accessibility. Below the
Symbol of Accessibility additional language shall state "Minimum Fine $250.00". The sign
shall be (70 sq. in. min.) area, reflectorized, and posted at +80" min. above the walking
surface or affixed to a wall at +36 min. above finish grade.
* At each street entrance to the parking area post a sign (17" x 22" minimum) stating that
unauthorized vehicles parking in designated handicapped spaces may be towed away.
* Surface of parking spaces shall have outline of a wheelchair with occupant 36" x 36"
minimum dimension.
* Provide the Words "NO PARKING" (12" high letters) in the loading/ unloading space
* Provide the minimum number of required accessible parking spaces and van accessible
parking spaces per CBC sec. 1129 B. Provide calculations on the plans.
* Provide and identify wheel stops on the plans. CBC,sec.1129B.3(3)
* Provide dimensioned details on the plans and reference details to the site plan or
applicable plan sheet. CBC Section 1129B
4. At every major junction where the accessible route of travel diverges from the regular
circulation path along of leading to an accessible route, entrance or site facility, there shall
be a sign displaying the international symbol of accessibility. Signs shall indicate the
direction to building entrances and site facilities. CBC sec. 1127B.3
