It is located at the southeast corner of Arrow Blvd. and Nuevo Street. The project may be accessed via Sierra Avenue going north from Interstate 10 freeway, thence west to Arrow Boulevard to the project site REPORT OBJECTIVE: The entire area of this project already have a commercial building, parking lot, and landscaping. The objective of this report is to determine the basic hydrologic response of the proposed development to both onsite and offsite storm runoff and to established storm drain facility design criteria for this localized unit for review by the City of Fontana. The project is a "Redevelopment" in nature. HYDROLOGY: The rational method hydrology system used on the analysis of the subject site is the San Bernardino County Hydrology Manual dated August, 1986 SUMMARY: The project study area is less than an acre, so small that a simple Rational Method Formula, i.e., Q=CIA can be used to determined the flow in 100 -year frequency. The property east of the project naturally drains to the south and towards the alley and to Valencia Avenue and does not have impact to the project. North and West of the project are fully improved streets. South of the project is a commercial building which drains to Nuevo Street and to the Alley which does not have impact to the project. The on-site flow therefore will only be used for sizing of concrete open channel. Applying the formula: Q=CIA , C=0.90, 1=1.45 (100 -yr.), A=0.33 Ac. Q = 0.43 CFS W Z EX.
