NUVIS has taken care to research applicable codes and requirements in preparing these
drawings and is not responsible for changes to such occurring after agency approval or
during installation.
As requested by the County/Owner, NUVIS will visit the site at intervals appropriate to the stage of
construction to review the progress and quality of work and to determine in general if the
work is being performed in a manner indicating that the work, when completed, will be in
substantial conformance with the construction documents. However, NUVIS will not make
exhaustive or continuous on—site inspection to check quality of the work.
NUVIS is not responsible for construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or
procedures, or for safety precautions and programs in connection with the work, since these
are solely the Contractor's responsibility. NUVIS is not responsible for the Contractor's failure
to, carry out the work in accordance with the construction contract documents, nor responsible
for acts or omissions of the Contractor, subcontractors, or their agents or employees, or of
any other persons performing portions of the work.
There is no warranty or guarantee either expressed or implied by NUVIS for the completion
of the work or the quality of performance of the construction contractor(s).
In the event County/Owner consents to, allows, authorizes or approves of changes to any plans,
specifications, or other construction documents, and these alterations are not approved in
writing by NUVIS, County/Owner recognizes that such alteration and the results thereof are not the
responsibility of NUVIS. In addition, County/Owner agrees, to the fullest extent permitted by law,
to indemnify and hold NUVIS harmless from any damage, liability or cost (including
reasonable attorney's fees and costs of defense) arising from such alterations.
The existence and location of any underground utilities shown on the plans were obtained
from available records at the time the plans were drafted and do not constitute a representation
as to the accuracy or completeness of the location or the existence or non—existence of such
utilities. In Southern California, Contractor shall contact Underground Services Alert at
1-800-422-4133 prior to performing any construction work. In other areas, contractor shall
contact a similar agency/organization.
Contractor shall supervise and direct the work, using the Contractor's best skill and attention.
Contractor shall be solely responsible for and have control over construction means, methods,
techniques, sequences, and procedures and for coordinating all portions of the work.
Contractor shall be responsible to the County/Owner for acts and omissions of the Contractor's
employees, subcontractors and their agents and employees, and other persons performing
portions of the work under a contract with Contractor.
Contractor shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining, and supervising all safety
precautions and programs in connection with the performance of the construction contract.

Inspections:
1. It is the Landscape Contractor's responsibility to contact the Engineering
Division's Landscape Inspector 48 hours prior to desired inspection of an item at
(909) 350-6633.
2. Prior to release of utilities or maintenance period commencement the following
inspections are required:
Pre Construction Meeting
Inspection of irrigation system in open trench condition (prior to backfill). Mainline
pressure test 150 P.S.I. for a three (3) hour continuous period.
Irrigation coverage tests including initial and final tests.
Finish grade prior to planting.
Plant materials prior to planting and soil preparation.
Planting, including street trees, contact the Parks Planning and Landscape
Development Section, Engineering Division, for species and final locations.
Compliance with approved plans.
Final inspection.
3. The Owner's representative and landscape contractor shall be present at each
inspection.
