Introduction The purpose of this report is to provide the hydraulic analysis for the proposed storm drain in Casa on Grande Avenue from Citrus Avenue easterly approximately 1300 feet. The proposed storm drain is m the extension of the Citrus Avenue Storm Drain, MPSD Line B3 in the City of Fontana. (A copy of portions of the Storm Drain Plan, hydraulic calculations, and hydrologic study relating to this project are included as reference). Existing Conditions This portion of the Casa Grande improvements is located on the east side of Citrus Avenue about 'A mile north of Summit Avenue. The general area surrounding this portion of Casa Grande is open field. Proposed Storm Water Drainage MPSD Line B3 will provide the primary drainage infrastructure for the Qioo-Year storm water runoff ,,,w from an area north and east from the location of this storm drain. A 48" R.C.P. lateral will be provided for adjacent property on the north side of Casa Grande for the future school site. Catch basins and drainage inlets will also be provided for the local runoff in the street area. ow Method of Study: Hydrologic Study and Hydraulic Calculations The rational method hydrologic model, as defined by Flood Control for San Bernardino County, was performed in the determination of the storm runoff peak flow rates (Section Q). AES software was m utilized for the hydrology calculations, street flow depth analysis, and catch basin sizing. Civil Design's WSPGW hydraulic software program was used to analyze pipe sizes and carrying capacities (Section H). References are made to the Citrus Avenue Drainage Study (MPSD Line B3) of which is included in so this report. The initial Q100 at the east end of this proposed portion section of the mainline B3 was estimated to be 436.5 c.f.s. The contributing area at Node 65 is labeled for the future school (38.2 acres),which includes the street area of Casa Grande as shown in the referenced study. as Since, the minor local flows in the street area range from 0.4 to less than 1 %of the total 505 c.f.s. and are already included in the contributing area (38.2 acreas), the local runoff in the street areas were Illi calculated and shown separately here. The lateral hydraulic calculations are provided here also.
