All
AFETY:-All contractors performing work shown on or
related to these plans shall conduct their
operations so that all employees are provided
a safe place to work and the public is pro-
tected. All contractors shall comply with the
Occupational Safety and Health Regulations of
the U.S. Department of Labor and with the
Construction Safety Orders of the State of
California Department of Industrial Rela-
tions.
SITE CONDITIONS:
Contractors shall assume sole and complete
responsibility for job site conditions during
the course of the construction of this
project, including safety of all persons and
property. This requirement shall apply con-
tinuously and not be limited to normal work-
ing hours. The contractor shall defend,
indemnify and hold the owner, engineer and
city harmless from any liability, real or
alleged, in connection with the performance
of work on this project, except liability
&rising from the sole negligence of the
owner, engineer or city.

UNDERGROUND UTILITIES:
The existence and location of any underground
utilities, pipes and/or structures shown on
these plans were obtained by a search of
available records. The contractor shall
determine the actual size and location, both
vertical and horizontal, of any utilities and
shall be responsible for any damage to any
public and/or private utility, whether or not
said utility is shown hereon. Contractor
shall contact UNDERGROUND SERVICE ALERT at
1(800)422-4133 for identification of under-
ground facilities 48 hours prior to excava-
tion or construction.
JOIN LOCATIONS:
PRIOR TO THE START OF ANY CONSTRUCTION, THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL JOIN LOCATIONS.
THIS SHALL APPLY TO BOTH UTILITIES AND SUR-
FACE IMPROVEMENTS. The contractor shall
report any discrepancies in either plans or
field conditions to the design engineer
immediately for resolution PRIOR to proceed-
ing with construction. The contractor shall
be responsible for any discrepancies not
reported and resolved prior to said work.
