MASTER VALVE (2') 1.62 IRRIGATION WATER METER , SIZE INDICATED BACKFLOW PREVENTER (2-) 13 NOTE: 1 -THE IRRIGATION SCHEDULES ARE SHOWN FOR GUIDELINE USE ONLY AND ARE TO BE MODIFIED ACCORDINGLY AS THE WEATHER CHANGES. 2 -IT IS BASED ON AVERAGE EVAPOTRANSPIRATION FOR SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, FONTANA. AREA. MORE DAILY ACCURATE DATA CAN BE OBTAINED BY CONTACTING: CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES, OFFICE OF WATER CONSERVATION P.O. BOX 942836 SACRAMENTO, CA 94236-0001 (916) 653-7366. 3 -THE NUMBERS SHOWN ON THE ABOVE WATER CHART ARE THE MINUTES PER DAY FOR EACH STATION, INA SEVEN DAY WEEK. i.e, VALVE #A-36 IN JULY WILL NEED: 18X7=126 MIN./WEEK IF WE IRRIGATED ONLY FIVE DAYS A WEEK THEN VALVE A-36 WILL NEED: 126/5= 25.2 MIN.(APPROX) PER DAY FOR FIVE DAYS. 4 -THEORETICALLY, NOVEMBER TROUGH MARCH DO NOT REQUIRE IRRIGATION. BUT, WATERING, TO SOME DEGREE, WILL BE REQUIRED. UNUSUALLY HOT WEATHER WILL REQUIRE IRRIGATION ADJUSTMENT AS WEATHER CHANGES. 5 -VALVES ON SLOPES WILL REQUIRED THE AMOUNT OF IRRIGATION AS STATED ON THE WATER CHART, BUT IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR WILL HAVE TO PROGRAM THE CONTROLLER IN CYCLES IN SUCH A WAY AS TO AVOID RUN-OFF. IN ORDER TO DO THIS, HE MUST TURN VALVES ON AND OBSERVE AMOUNT OF TIME IT TAKES UNTIL RUN-OFF STARTS. THIS WILL BE THE TIME FOR EACH IRRIGATION CYCLE. e.g., IF, FOR VALVE C-1, THE RUN-OFF STARTS AFTER 6 MINUTES OF IRRIGATION THEN VALVE C-' SHOULD BE PROGRAMMED TO 3 CYCLES OF 6 MINUTES EACH TO COMPLETE A TOTAL OF 18 MINUTES/DAY OF IRRIGATION IN JULY. NOTES (TYPICAL): 1) WHEN VERTICAL OBSTRUCTIONS (FIRE HYDRANTS, STREET LIGHTS, TREES, ETC.) INTERFERE WITH THE SPRAY PATTERN OF THE SPRINKLER HEADS SO AS TO PREVENT PROPER COVERAGE, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD ADJUST THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM BY INSTALLING A QUARTER CIRCLE OR HALF CIRCLE SPRINKLER HEAD ON EACH SIDE OF THE OBSTRUCTION SO AS TO PROVIDE PROPER COVERAGE. ALL ADJUSTMENTS SHALL BE MADE AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER. 2) MAINLINE, VALVES, IRRIGATION METERS, ETC., ARE SHOWN ON THE STREET AND/OR SIDEWALK FOR CLARIFICATION ONLY.
