1. CONT RAGT VM#46 . Shall consist of . s peclfkatlaw and its general conditions and the
&awhgs. The intent of these documents Is to Include all labor, matorlals, and servkos necessary
for the proper execution of the work. The documents aro to be considered as ono, and whatever
is called for by any part shall be as I;MLV as if called for by all pangs.
2. YFRIFIGATION: The contractor shall verify nmm romonts on the &awkW before beghnhg
work In case of error or discrepancy in f1w drawings or speclfkatO ns or In work of -others

3. LICDOE: All work shall be performed by a C-21 Califmla LkensedLand'scap+e Contractor.
4. IN5WANGE: The Contractor shall carry all hlorkmans Compensation, Pbbllc Lkelity and
Property barrage hsurcnce as required by all applkable codes, regulations and the owner.
5. L WWAPE ARCHITECTS LIABILITY The owner and contractors, recognizing the hhera t
Mob cavwted with construction, agree to Urrdt axy cid all liability clam for damages, cost of
defense, or eases to be levied against the Architect on account of crry design
defect, error,ombalon, or profes bvi negligence to a sum not to exceed $50,WO, or Mo
amount of the Landscape Architects foe, whichever is lesser.
6. C WTRUGTIO'N SAFETY: The design, adoquacy and safety of erection, excavation, bracIS
shoring temporary s"aorts, etc, is the sole rosponsibility of the GMk=tor, and has -not been
considered by the Architect or his consultants. Tho contractor is responsible for the
stabllliy of any structures and excavaibm and shall provide the necossa^y brachg to provide
stability drhg the entire construction progress. Observation visits to the site by the Lanctscgao
Architect or his consultants shall not Include Inspection of the above items.
7. 50WEYS, PERMITS, RE6ULAT IONS:The owner shall furnish an adagvate survey of the
property. Tire contractor shall obtah and pay for all permits acrd candy with all laws aid
ordinances bearing on the operation or conduct of the work as d%*v amu specified. If the
contractor observes, that a variance exists dwomlih he shall pro rtly notify the owners
representaiivo in writing and any necessary cha ys; shall be a*ated as provldod In the contract
for changes in the work.
8. PROTECT ION OF AVW FROPF Z7Y AND PERSON: The . contractor shall adequately protect the
work adjacent property and the pmblic, and shall be respom ble for any damage or Injury due to
his act.

been properly executed and delivered to the owner. The Architect shall have full
authority to accept or reject the contract items and will promptly notify the owner of completion.

DIVISION'S LANDSCAPE INSPECTOR 48 HOURS PRIOR TO DESIRED INSPECTION OF AN
ITEM AT (QOQ) 350-66441.
2- PRIOR TO RELEASE OF UTILITIES OR MAINTENANCE PERIOD COMMENCEMENT THE
FOLLOWING INSPECTIONS ARE REQUIRED:
-pre construction meeting
-inspection of irrigation system in open trench condition (prior to backfill). mainline pressure
test O 150 p.s.i. for a three (5) hour continuous period
-irrigation coverage tests including initial and final tests
-f finish grade prior to planting
-planting, including street trees, 'contact the Parks Planning and Landscape Development
Section, Engineering Division, for species and final location
-compliance with approved plans
-final inspection
3- THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE AND LAN SCAPE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE PRESENT AT
EACH INSPECTION.
