23. EXISTING COUNTY ROADS THAT REQUIRE RECONSTRUCTION SHALL REMAIN OPEN FOR TRAFFIC AT ALL TIMES
WITH ADEQUATE DETOURS DURING ACTUAL CONSTRUCTION.
24. THE PRIVATE ENGINEER OF RECORD IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSURING THE ACCURACY AND
ACCEPTABLITY OF THE WORK HEREON. IN THE EVENT OF DISCREPANCIES ARISING DURING
CONSTRUCTION, THE PRIVATE ENGINEER SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING ACCEPTABLE

TYPE II SUPER ENGINEERING GRADE RETRO—REFLECTIVE SHEETING, AND SCHOOL SIGNS SHALL BE DIAMOND GRADE
(FHWA TYPE IX) FLOURESCENT YELLOW—GREEN (FYG) RETRO—REFLECTIVE SHEETING.
4. ALL DELINEATORS AND CHANALIERS SHALL BE FHWA TYPE VII RETRO— REFLECTIVE SHEETING.
5 SIGNS SHALL BE MOUNTED ON METAL POSTS SIMILAR TO STANDARDS 303(®) AND 303(b),
6. ALL CONFLICTING STRIPING AND PAVEMENT MARKINGS NOT SHOWN ON THIS PLAN SHALL BE REMOVED BY THE
CONTRACTOR, REMOVAL SHALL_ BE ACCOMPLISHED BY SANDBLASTING, GRINDING OR AS DIRECTED BY COUNTY
REPRESENTATIVE.
7. ALL CONFLICTING SIGNS SHALL BE REMOVED, RELOCATED OR COVERED BY THE CONTRACTOR. RELOCATABLE
SIGNS SHALL BE INSTALLED AS SPECIFIED ON THE PLANS OR AS DIRECTED BY COUNTY REPRESENTATIVE,
B. ALL EXISTING SIGNING, STRIPING AND PAVEMENT MARKINGS (i.e. CROSS STREET STOP, STOP LIMIT LINE
AND CROSSWALK PAVEMENT MARKINGS) NOT SHOWN ON THESE PLANS, IF REMOVED/OBLITERATED, SHALL
BE REPLACED/RESTORED OF SAME KIND, AND IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE MUTCD 2003 AND CALIFORNIA
SUPPLEMENT TO MUTCD 2003.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY COUNTY REPRESENTATIVE TO SCHEDULE A FINAL REVIEW (WALK THROUGH)
WITH THE TRAFFIC DIVISION PERSONNEL FOR APPROVAL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES PRIOR TO PROJECT
ACCEPTANCE.
50. INSTALL RED CURB FROM STATION 23+55 TO STATION 23+94 AND
FROM STATION 24+98 TO STATION 25+38 FOR EASTBOUND TRAFFIC.
