GENERAL NOTES
1. All work shall be :done in accordance with these plans and the San
Bernardino County Standards and Specifications.
2.

7. All pipelines or substructures of any kind(andtelephone or power

these plans within the limits of this development or in adjacent areas
where improvement work is' to beaone small bo removed or relocated' as
required 'at no cost to the San 'Bernardino 'County Transportation
Department; ' it shall 'be the owners responsibility .to notify all,
agencies concerned.
8. Adequate stakes shall be set by the engineer to enable the contractor
to construct the work to the plan grades.
9. When asphalt concrete isplaced on native soil whtich consists of a
rocky material, the sub—grade shall be prepared by removing all rocks
which protrude above the sub—grade and all voids or depressions shall
be filled with a fine graded material<of aquali,ty better than the
native material. If asphalt,concrete is to be placed directly'on sub
grade, a soil sterilant registered'by an E.P.A. for use under A.C.. &
P.C.C. sha 1 be uniformly applied; at the manufacturer''s recommended
rate for the full pavement width prior to paving'.
10. Compaction tests of embankment construction, trench backfill,
compacting original ground, and all sub-grades,shall be performed`at
no cost to San Bernardino County. A written reportwith these
compaction tests shall be submitted to the Contracts Administration'
Division of -the County Transportation Department for approval prior to
placement of base materials and/or surfacing.
11® At the completion of rough grading, a materials report and the
proposed structural section shall be submitted by the engineer to the
Land Development Section of the San Bernardino County Transportation
Department for review and evaluation, Approval will be given when all
structural requirements have been met.
12 "At the completion ofpaving, a materials report shall be submitted to
the Contracts Engineer of the San Bernardino County Transportation
Department listing all tests of determinations completed to verify."

surfacing.
