1. ALL WORK, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT FOR TRAFFIC SIGNING AND STRIPING SHALL CONFORM TO THESE
PLANS, THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CITY OF FONTANA AND THE STANDARD PLANS
SPECIFICATIONS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA (DATED JULY, 2002), THE 2003 MANUAL ON UNIFORM
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES (MUTCD), AND THE MUTCD 2003 CALIFORNIA SUPPLEMENT.
2. PAVEMENT MARKINGS SHALL CONFORM TO THE CITY OF FONTANA STANDARD STENCILS.
3. TRAFFIC STRIPING BETWEEN SIERRA AVENUE AND PALMETTO AVENUE SHALL BE PAINT, 2 COATS. MINIMUM
OF 24 HOURS BETWEEN COATS. TRAFFIC STRIPING BETWEEN PALMETTO AVENUE AND STA. 284+52 SHALL
BE THERMOPLASTIC, AS NOTED WITH (T).
4. TRAFFIC SIGN SIZE SHALL BE STANDARD UNLESS OTHERWISE SHOWN ON THE PLANS.
5. ALL SIGNS SHALL BE MOUNTED ON A GALVANIZED STEEL POST, UNLESS OTHERWISE SHOWN, PER CITY
STANDARD DETAIL NO. 4008.

6. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MAINTAIN BARRICADES, DELINEATORS OROTHER
TRAFFIC CONTROL AT ALL TIMES.
