GENERALNOTES
1. ALL EXCAVATION WITHIN THE CITY OF FONTANA RIGHT-OF-WAY REQUIRES AN EXCAVATION PERMIT FROM THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT.

1 ALL PUBLIC WORKS INSPECTION REQUESTS WILL BE MADE 2 WORKING DAYS AHEAD OF THE SCHEDULED WORK,
4, COMPACTED OF BACKFILL SHALL BE VERIFIED BY REGISTERED GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER AND A COMPACTION REPORT SUBMITTED TO THE
CITY FOR APPROVAL PRIOR TO PLACING OF THE PERMANENT PAVEMENT, IN LIEU OF COMPACTIONTESTING, CONTRACTOR MAY USE 2 -SAC
PCC SLURRY.

8. ALL EDGES OF EXISTING PAVEMENTBEING JOINED AND SURFACE BEING OVERLAID SHALL RECEIVE A TACK COAT OF ASPHALT EMULSION.
9, TRENCHES OF 300 FEET OR MORE SHALL BE PAVED WITH A SELF-PROPELLED PAVING MACHINE,
10� ANY STREET PAVED OR RESURFACED IN THE PREVIOUS 36 MONTH' S SHALL BE SUBJECT TO SPECIAL PAVING REQUIREMENTS, ANY TRENCH
EXTENDING FROM THE CURB INTO THE PARKING LANE SHALL REQUIRE A COMPLETE GRIND AND OVERLAY OF THE PARKING LANE, ALL.
