HomeMy WebLinkAbout4069-8GENERAL CONDITIONS 1. GENERAL A. The terms and definitions stated in these General Conditions shall apply to all sections of the Specifications as if set forth fully therein. B. The Plans and Specifications with any Addenda are complementary. The indications on the drawings or the requirements of the Specifications shall be as binding as though shown and/or required by both. , C. All parts of the work specified herein and/or indicated on the Plans may be completed by separate contractors and it shall be the responsibility of each contractor to determine the effect of their work upon the work of others. D. The Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with all applicable building regulations CI and ordinances even though such requirements are not specifically mentioned herein. Any work in conflict with such requirements shall be brought to the attention of the Owner by the Contractor and the Contractor shall not proceed with such work without the written approval of the Owner. 2. DEFINMQNS A. Cotaractor shall mean the bidder performing work directly for the Owner. Contractor agrees that he is fully responsible to the Owner for the acts or ornissions of his Subcontractors. Nothing contained in the General Contract shall create any contractual relation between the Owner and Subcontractor. B. Qw_ner's &=sentative shall mean the job superintendent or other person of responsibility employed by the Owner. C. Work shall mean all labor, materials, equipment, services, permits and licenses, necessary to furnish and/or install, in place. all materials, equipment and/or appliances specified in any one section and/or shown on the plans. D. Furnish shall mean to purchase and deliver as directed by the Owner, all material, equipment, or appliances specified in any one section and/or shown on the plans. E. Jastall shall mean all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to set in place, connect, hook up and/or make ready for operation all materials, equipment and/or appliances. 3. -CHANGES The Owner may make changes, alterations, modifications, and/or corrections to the contract documents before the execution of the Contract and such shall be made in the form of Addendum, issued in writing to all bidders. All such Addenda shall become a part of the Specifications and/or Plans as if originally included herein. All oral instructions, interpretations and/or modifications, if any, shall not be recognized and shall not be included in any Contract. After execution of the Contract, the Owner may make revisions to the drawings, Plans, or specification by issuance of a Change Order signed by an authorized agent of the Owner, which shall become a part of the original Contract. 4. JOB FILE The Owner,shall furnish the Contractor with the required number sets of all Plans, Specifications, revisions ordered by the Owner, and Change Orders. 'The Contractor will furnish his contract, any shop drawings required and a work sheet on which he will note any deviation prom the Contract not otherwise covered. The ContractoT shall keep a field set of Plans upon which deviations are noted, work sheet, shop drawings and miscellaneous documents pertinent to the work in a "Job File" on the job at all times. 5. GUARANTEE The Contractor shall, by execution of this Contract, and upon completion of the entire work described in the Contract, guarantee that all work performed or material and equipment supplied is full, guaranteed for a period of one year from the date of acceptance (unless specifically stated otherwise in these Specifications or the Agreement), and that during said one year period, all defective workmanship and/or materials shall be repaired and/or replaced, including any work of others which has been damaged by such repair and/or replacement at no additional cost to the Owner. SPECIAL CONDITIONS 1. PP ,OTECTIQN QF WQRK AND PRQPEM A. The Contractor shall protect adjacent private or public property as provided by law. B. The Contractor shall protect all existing work and landscaping from any damage resulting from his operations or those of his Subcontractors. Any such damage shall be repaired by the Contractor to a condition equal to that existing at time of commencing work, as directed by the Owner. 2. MIT QF INSURANCE Insurance coverage shall not be less than the following: A. Workmen's Compensation Statutory B. ,Public Liability: $1,000,000 C. Automobile (Owned & Non -Owned): $1,000,000 3. HQLQ HARMLESS CLA USE All work done on the premises, or in connection with the execution of this Contract, shall be at Contractor's risk and the Contractor shall assume any and all liability and will hold harmless the Owner and/or any other person, firm, corporation or organization for whom such contract work is being performed, their agents or employees, or otherwise. 4. OWNER'S STATUS A. The Owner shall have authority to stop the work whenever such stoppage may be necessary in his reasonable opinion to insure proper execution of the Contract. B. The Owner shall be the interpreter of the conditions of the Contract and judge of its performance. He shall use his powers under the contract to enforce its faithful performance by the Contractor. 5. LAWS AND REGULATIONS The Contractor shall secure all permits, fees, licenses, post all notices, comply with all local laws, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to his work as required by all governing boards,. jurisdictions, and/or agencies. The Contractor will pay for all permits unless specifically provided for otherwise by the Owner. 6. CO REACTOWS RESPONSIBILITIES The Contractor shall secure all permits, fees, licenses, post all notices, comply with all local laws, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to his work as required by all governing boards, jurisdictions, and/or agencies. The Contractor will pay for all permits unless specifically provided for otherwise by the Owner. . 7. AS-BUILIS The Contrwtor shall keep a field set of Plans upon which all deviations from the Plans are noted. These "As -Built" Plans shall be readily available for inspection at all times, and shall indicate all additions or del ' etions accurately as they QgcmX. Upon completion of the project, the Contractor shall submit these "As-builts" to the Owner. 8. HIDDEbi OBSTACLES Prior to any excavation, the Contractor shall locate all cables, conduits, sewers, septic tanks and such other utilities as are commonly encountered underground and he shall take proper precaution not to damage or disturb such improvements. If a conflict exists between such obstacles and the proposed work , he shall promptly notify the Owner's representative who will arrange for relocation. Contractor Will proceed in the same manner if rock layers or any other condition encountered underground make changes advisable. 9. LANDSCAPE ARCHIIECI'S EUNCTIQ I The Landscape Architect shall perform general field observation of work as mlalcd IQ inlcu=ja�on of Contract Docu=nts when specifically contracted to do so by the Owner. He is the agent or the Owner to the extent provided in the Specifications and when in special instances he is authorized by the Owner to act as interpreter of the conditions of the Contract and as judge of its performance. The Landscape Architect does not assume responsibility for the quality of work or proper performance of the Contractor. 10. FINAL INSPECTION � Upon completion of work, Contractor shall notify the Landscape Architect, who then will arrange with the Owner for final inspection. Any variance or omission shall be noted at this time, and the Contractor shall stipulate when and how he will rectify said variance. When these corrections, if any, have been carried out and the work areas cleaned, the job shall be considered completed and the General Contract executed. IRRIGATION A. The Contractor shall refer to the General and Special Conditions which form an integral part of this Specificatlon. B. When not otherwise specified, workmanship and material shall conform to the local code having jurisdiction. C. The Contractor shall apply for all necessary permits and pay for same. 2. SCOPE OF WORK A. The work consists of fumishing labor, tools, machinery, materials, and processes required to complete the Sprinkler Irrigation System described herein and shown on the Plans. B. The intent of the Plans and Specifications is to indicate and specify a complete Sprinkler System installed and ready for use without further cost in labor or materials to the Owner. C. Any item shown in the Specifications and not on the Plans or on the Plans and not on the Specifications shall be considered to appear in both, except any item or material shown in the Specifications which is obviously not intended to complete the installation. D. In the event of conflict between the Plans and Specification, the Landscape Architect or his representative shall be consulted. 3. RESPQNSIBILITY A. The Contractor shall be responsible for all work to be performed under this contract. No Sub -Contractor shall relieve the Contractor of his liability to complete the work shown on the Plans and indicated in the Specifications. B. The Contractor shall at all times protect his work from damage and theft and replace all damaged or stolen parts at his expense until the work is accepted in writing by the Owner. C. The Contractor shall protect the Owner's property from injury or loss. All damage to existing property (buildings, utilities, etc.) or planting (trees, shrubs, lawns or ground covers) caused by the Contractor during his operation or as a result of the malfunction of installed work during the guarantee period shall be repaired at the Contractor's expense. D. The Contractor shall carefully note all finish grades before commencing work. Any finish grade changed during the course of his work shall be restored to the original contours. 4. EXAMINATIQN QF PROJEC! DRAWINGS- AND SITE Prior to submission of his bid, the Contractor shall examine the site, the -complete Plans of the project and the Specifications for same, in addition to the Plans and Specifications for the Sprinkler Irrigation portion of the work. 5. SUBMISSIQN FOR APPROVAL A. The Contractor shall fumish the articles, equipment, materials or processes specified by name in the Plans and Specifications. No substitution will be allowed without prior written approval by the Owner. . 13. The Contractor shall submit with the material list, catalog data and full descriptive literature wherever possible. C. Equipment or materials installed or funished without the prior approval of the Owner may be rejected and the Contractor required to remove such materials from the site at his own expense. D. Manufacturer's warranties shall not relieve the Contractor of his liability under the guarantee. Such warranty shall only supplement the guarantee. I * E. Materials shall be of the best quality obtainable, of American manufacture, and shall comply strictly with the Plans and Specifications. 6. MATERIALS A. Sl!=l Steel pipe and steel fittings where indicated on the Drawinqs or specified shall be A.S.A. Schedule 40 galvanized mild steel screwed pipe. B. Brass INW, 1.) Brass pipe shall be heavy wall type with threads complying to A.S.A. specifications. 2.) Fittings shall be cast brass or cast bronze threaded joint and shall comply with A.S.A. specifications. Thread on pipe and fittings shall be taper type. C. Pla )iM .stig _L 1.) Plastic pipe shall be extruded from 1000/c Virgin Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Type 1, Grade I I (Class 1220) as manufactured by Lasco Industries, Baldwin, Pacific Western, Johns -Manville, or equal. 2.) All plastic pipe shall be continuously and permanently marked with the following information: Manufacturer's name, nominal pipe size, PVC 1220, SDR (Standard Dimension Ratio, or the pressure rating in P.5. L), N.S.F. (National Sanitation Foundation). 3.) The manufacturer shall also mark the date of extrusion on the pipe. This dating extrusion shall be done in conjunction with records to be held by the manufacturer for two y ears, covering quality control test, raw material batch number, and other information deemed necessary by the manufacturer. 4.) All plastic pipe to be installed on the non -pressure side of the valves shall be PVC 1220, - SOR 21 or 200 PSI, and Sch. 40 as shown on the Plans. All pipe to be installed on the pressure side of valves shall be PVC 1220, SOR 11.5 or 315 PSI, Sch. 40, and Class 200 PVC "ring-tite" as shown (see legend). 5.) Plastic fittings shall be PVC I 1. IPS, Schedule 40, N.S.F. and Schedule 30 threaded fittings as shown in the details and as manufactured by Sloane Manufacturing Co., or equal. Solvent is to be per pipe manufacturer's recommendations. D. Automa_&, Controller Controllers shall be as indicated on the Plans. Controllers shall be installed as per manufacturers specifications. Provide two (2) keys minimum to Owner. E. -W-im All wire shall be UF approved direct burial wire. Connections on 24 volt wire shall be made by Scotchlock Connector Sealing Pack #3577 as manufactured by the 3M Company, or approved equal. I 10 volt or higher voltage line connections shall be made by clamp and waterproofed with 3M Company Scotchcast splicing kits or equal. F. Valve Bgms Valve boxes shall be plastic (Ametek, or equal) or as per Detail. Box lids shall be marked "R.C.V." or "irrig" as required. Provide two (2) keys each for lockable boxes to Owner. G. Bac k-fkw-- Prevente-ts Backflow preventers to be as indicated on the Plans, and shall be installed to meet all codes . and applicable regulations. 7. INSTALLATIM . A. Site Conditions 1.) All scaled dimensions are approximate. The Contractor shall check and verify all dimensions on the site prior to proceeding with work under this Contract. 1 2.) Extreme care shall be exercised in excavating and working near existing utilities. Contractor shall be responsible for damage to any utilities. 3.) Should utilities not located or marked be found during excavation, the Contractor shall promptly notify the Owner and shall discontinue with work in the area except necessary emergency work to repair or prevent damage until instructions are received from the Owner. 4.) Failure to notify the Owner of discovery of such utilities or damage thereto will result in the Contractor being liable for any and all damage caused to the utilities as a result of his actions. B. Water S=Ly The Corift-actor shall connect to the water sources as indicated on the Plans. * .. C. Wod-amship and Emedure The routing of the pressure supply lines as indicated on the Plans is diagrammatic. The Contractor shall install lines in such manner as to conform with the Details without off -setting the various assemblies from the pressure supply line. I D. Assemblks No multiple assemblies shall be installed on plastic lines. Each. assembly shall be provided with its own outlet line. E. Detail Draw-im All assemblies specified herein shall be installed in accordance with the respective Detail. In the absence of Detail Drawings or Specifications pertaining to the specific items required to complete the work, the Contractor shall perform such work in accordance with the best standard practice, the manufacturer's instructions and to the satisfaction of the Owner. 7. INSTALLATION (Continued) F. Line Clearance All sprinklers lines shall have a minimum clearance of six (6) inches from each other. . G. EltQtcal The Contractor shall be responsible for making electrical connections to the automatic controller and wire circuits from remote control valves to controllers. All wiring shall be routed as shown on Plans. All electrical work shall be in accordance with all local and/or county ordinances. Wire sizes to be as per manufacturer's specifications. Tape to main 10' O.C. when parallel. I H. F.auipment To Be Fumished 1.) The Contractor shall provide as part of this Contract two sets of sprinkler wrenches for adjusting, cleaning or disassembling each type of sprinkler. Two each of any special tools required for any other equipment shall also be furnished. 2.) Two service manuals for all equipment used shall be fumished to the Owner. Manuals may be loose leaf and should show drawings or exploded views of equipnnient and catalog number and prices. 8. EXCAVATIQN A. Tre-n-c-hes In General 1.) Trenches shall be dug straight and pipe shall have the continuous support of the ditch bottom and shall be laid to an even grade. Trenching excavation shaif follow the layout Indicated on the Plans and shall be of sufficient width to allow "snaking" of pipe in trench. 2.) All pressure supply lines shall have depth of 18 inches minimum or as shown in the Details and called for in Drawing notes. 3.) All non -pressure lines shall have a depth of 12 inches minimum or as shown in the Details and called for in Drawing notes. 4.) All lines shall have a minimum clearance of six (6) inches from each other and from lines of other trades. B. Backfilring 1.) Backfill for trenching shall be compacted to dry density equal to the adjacent undisturbed soil and shall conform to the adjacent grades without dips, sunken areas, -, -0 humps, or other irregularities. Initial backfill on all lines shall be of a fine granular material with no foreign matter larger than one-half (1/2) inch in size. 2.) If, in the opinion of the Owner, the excavated material is not satisfactory for use as backfill, the Contractor shall dispose of this unsatisfactory material. 8. TESTS A. Pmure Test 1.) All pressure lines shall be tested under hydrostatic pressure of 150 lbs. per square inch, and proven watertight. Contractor shall supply all equipment necessary for testing. 2.) Pressure shall be sustained in the lines for not less than four hours. If leaks develop, the joints shall be replaced and the test repeated until the entire system is proven watertight. 3.) Tests shall be observed and approved by the Owner prior to backfill. . 4.) Upon completion of each phase of the work, the Contractor shall check and adjust each sprinkler head to meet the site requirements. B. lns=lim of MLQ_& 1.) Prior to commencing work the Contractor shall arrange a meeting with the Owner at which time the Contractor will be informed of specific inspections required and the method of calling for such inspections as the individual work is completed. 2.) In no event shall the Contractor cover up or otherwise remove from view any work under this Contract without prior approval of the Owner. Any work covered prior to Inspection may be opened to view by the Contractor at his expense. 3.) Throughout the project, the Contractor shall transfer all information regarding irrigation ., dimensions including depth of all buried pipe, location of valves, etc., to the 'As -Built" Plans. C. Guarantee 1.) The entire sprinkler system shall be guaranteed by the Contractor as to material and workmanship, including settling of backfilled areas below grade, for a period of one (1) year following the date of final acceptance of the work. 2.) Should any operational difficulties in connection with the sprinkler system develop I within the specified guarantee period, which in the opinion of the Owner may be due to, inferior material and/or workmanship, said difficulties shall be immediately corrected by the Contractor to the satisfaction of the Owner at no additional cost. D. lem=a Relhks The� Owner reserves the right to make temporary repairs as necessary to keep the sprinkler system eqtupment in operating condition. The exercise of this right by the Owner shall not relieve the Contractor of his responsibilities under the term of the guarantee as herein specified. f`* A LANDS%.,/ -%PING 1. QENER-A-L The general and Special Conditions of the Contract apply to the work of this qection the same as though written herein. 2. SCOPE QF WQRK A. Fumish all labor, materials, and equipment to provide and install soil preparation, headerboard, planting, and/or related work as described herein or on the Plans. B. The Contractor shall adequately protect the work, adjacent property, and the public, and shall be responsible for any damage, injury, loss due to his acts or neglect. C. The Contractor shall submit unit costs to the Owner for additions or deletions to the Contract Drawings. . 3. SAMPLES, TESTS, AND INSPECTIONS A. The source of the plant material shall be fumished if requested by the Owner or Landscape Architect. I B. Any sampling, testing, or inspection costs of materials are to be borne by the Contractor, and copies of inspection certificates, required by law, shall be furnished to the Owner without charge. 1 4. MNTERIA-LS A. &= 1.) Ng=D_q1a=. See list of plant materials on Planting Plan. 2.) Conditions: Plants shall be symmetrical, typical for variety and species, sound, healthy, vigorous, free from plant disease, insect pests or their eggs, excessive abrasions, or other objectionable disfigurements, and shall have healthy, normal root systems, well filling their containers, but not to the point of being root bound. Tree trunks shall be sturdy and well hardened off. Plants shall not be pruned prior to delivery except as authorized by the Landscape Architect. In no case shall trees be topped or pruned before delivery. Plants shall be grown in nurseries which have been inspected by the State Department of Agriculture and have complied with its regulations. 3.) 1denff1Q-WQn Plants shall be of the variety and size shown on the Plans, and shall conform to the requirements herein. One of each bundle or lot shall be tagged with plant name in accord with recommendations of the American Association of Nurserymen. 4.) Substitutions Substitutions for the indicated plant materials will be pertnitted, provided the substitute materials are approved in advance by the Landscape Architect, and the substitutions are made at no additional cost to the Owner except for the variations so authorized, all substitute plant materials shall conform to the requirements of these specifications. If accepted substitute materials are of less value than those indicated or specified, the Contract price will be adjusted in accordance with the provisions of the Contract. 5.) Plant Ins=1jolLand Rdection Root condition of plants may be determined by the Landscape Architect through the rernoval of earth from the roots of at least two (2) plants but not more than two (2) of the total number of species from each source. 13. Fertilizer shall be a commercial grade uniform in composition, dry and free flowing, of analysis as noted in specs, and particle size of not less than 2% through a number 48 \mesh. Fertilizer shall be delivered to the site in the original unopened container, bearing the manufacturer's guaranteed analysis. Any fertilizerthat becomes caked or damaged will not be acceptable. 2.) gulch material shall be clean, natural wood cellulose fiber. The Contracto shall utilize suppliers who are prepared to certify that laboratory and field testing elf eir product has been accomplished, and that it meets all of the foregoing requi ents based on testing. Seed which has become wet, moldy, or otherwise damaged in transit or st, I will not be accepted. Substitute seed species for hydroseed shall be made only with at val of Landscape Architect. The Contractor shall place order for seedl�rorn a Distributor as soon as possible to avoid any delays in the project due to seed shortftes. 4.) Sche.&Iing Planting shall not commence until completion of all construction \wk grading, soil ' preparation, and sprinkler installation. All container stock shall be sp tted on-site by the Contractor per plans prior to planting. Plant pits shall not be excavate until the approval of plant locations has been given by the Landscape Architect. 13. Soil Prel2arafiom 1.) Cultivate all areas to be planted and incorporate soil amendments to a un orm depth of at least 6", and for this entire depth the soil shall be made loose and fri\abl 2.) At time of planting, all areas to be planted or seeded shall be free of stones, stu\nps, roots or other deleterious matter I" (one inch) in diameter or larger and shall be ree from all wire, plaster, or similar objects that would be a hindrance to planting or maintenance. 3.) Wmd-Contro,t (HygkQseeded Areas QDJ,y): Prior to any planting or application of hydroseed, contractor shall irrigate areas to receive hydroseed thoroughly for two weeks. Upon germination of weed seed, spray areas with approved systemic weed killer. After weeds have died, remove and repeat process; beginning with an additional pre -irrigation period, and follow with a second application of spray and subsequent weed removal. Contractor shall wait a period of two weeks (or as per manufacturer's recommendations) following last application of weed killer, at which time the N1 I hydro -mulch shall be applied. C. sm-ing When plant material is spaced in rows, the total dimension shall be verified and the plants equally spaced within the designated area. Where plant material is shown in a "loose" pattern, the Contractor shall space the material as shown on Plans or as directed by the Landscape Architect. Groundcover material shall be triangularly spaced per dimensions indicated on 0 Plans. D. Plant US ",. - Plant pits shall be dug with level bottoms with widths and depths twice the diameter of root ball. Pits for trees shall be dug square. Fill pits with water and allow to drain out. E. Fifteen gallon size containers shall be cut on four opposite sides. F. The slurry tank shall have a minimum capacity of 1,500 gall s and shall be mounted on a traveling unit which will place the slurry tank and spray n zles within sufficient proximity to the areas to be seeded so as to provide uniform di *bution With th ngine at half throttle, water shall be added to the tank. When the water level has the height of the agitator shaft. good recirculation shall be established and at this ti the seed shall be added. Fertilizer shall then be added to the mixture followed by pulp mulch. The wood pulp mulch shall only be added to the mixture after the , s and when the tank is at least one-third filled with water. 'The engine throttle shall be 0 to full speed when the tank is half-filled with water. All the wood pulp mulch all be added by the time the tank is two -third to three-fourths full. Spraying shall ommence when the tank is full. ) A=Iication: The operator shall spray with a uniform, visible coat by using the green color of the wood pulp as a guide. The slurry shall be applied in a sweeping motion, in an arched stream so as to fall like rain allowing the wood fibers to build on each other until a good coat is achieved and the material is spread at the required rate per acre. 5.) Time Limit All slurry mixture which has not been applied to the slopes within four hours after mixing will be rejected and removed from the project at the Contractor's expense. 6.) Watering shall be as follows: I a.) Prior to hydroseeding, the area shall be irrigated in order to provide a moist seed bed for the hydroseed application. b.) Hydroseed areas shall receive several consecutive waterings the day of the C) hydroseeding to thoroughly saturate soil. c.) After initial irrigation, water shall be applied as often and in sufficient amo nts as conditions may require, to keep the soil wet above, around and below the t systems of the plants (until germination is complete.) 7.) Reseeding: All bare spots shall be reseeded by the Contractor per Specifica J ns within 90 days of installation. M. Sgdd_e_d1g&_n (If Applicable) I 1.) Sod shall be laid in a staggered pattern with no gaps or voids. 2.) Roll all sodded areas with a roller weighing approximately 16 po ds per Ene,al inch to compact the soil around the roots and provide a smooth, even m ing surface. N. Flatted G-mnd Cover 1.) Rooted cuttings shall be planted sufficiently deep to cover I roots and spaced as specified in ground cover list on Planting Plan. 2.) Ground cover plants (rooted cuttings) shall have been own in flats and shall remain in those flats until time for transplanting. At time of planting the flat soil shall contain sufficient moisture so that the soil does not f I apart when lifting plants from flat. Each plant shall be planted with its proportina te amount of the flat soil in a manner that will insure minimum of disturbance t the root . system. 3.) Tree and shrub placement PRIOR to digging holes and to planting. c.) Approval of ground cover lines and headerboard PRIOR to planting. d.) Final Inspection 3.) Inspection shall be called for at the end of all planting operations for the purpose of determining compliance with plans and specifications, intent, workmanship, and cleanup. Contractor shall secure written verification of inspection data, any corrections required to work, and limits of inspected area before beginning the described establishment work. 4.) A final inspection shall be made at the end of the establishment period for full approval of the work area. 5.) In the event the Contractor requests inspection of work, and said work is substantially incomplete, the Contractor shall be responsible for inspection costs. . Qmam= 1.) All shrubs, ground covers,- lawn areas and 15 gallon size trees or less shall be guaranteed as to growth and health for a period of ninety (90) days after final acceptance by the Owner or his representative; box sized trees shall be guaranteed for a . Any day the Contractor fails adequately water, replace unsuitable plants, weed, and/br provide other work det ined to be necessary by the Landscape Architect, will I NOT be credited as part of the stablishment Period. 1 5.) During the Establishment Period, y plant indicating weakness or probability of dying, shall be replaced by the Contractor his Own expense. 6.) All basins around shrubs and trees sha be maintained at a four inch (4") depth throughout Establishment Period, unless therwise instructed by the Owner or his representative. 7.) Tree stakes which for any reason are damag or rendered inadequate for support shall be repaired and restored to their original cond *on. 8.) Constant diligence shall be maintained for the ent of disease, insects, and/or rodent infestations and proper preventative or control ures taken. � 9.) All shrubs and trees shall be maintained in their natu shapes. Tall or scraggly branches shall be thinned out where necessary. In no se shall trees or shrubs be trimmed by heading or shearing. Any plants severely p ned in this manner may be removed and replaced at Contractor's expense. 10.) On the 60th day of the Establishment Period, all lawn and und cover areas shall " receive 25 pounds of Gro -Power per 1,000 sq. ft., or approv ual. 1 1.)
