The final pass with the rippers shall be done on the contour. Steep slopes shall be track -walked vertically. All soil surfaces shall be left in as rough a condition as possible. 2) Should any areas become compacted or eroded prior to seeding, re -roughening of the soil surface shall be required. 3) Upon completion of soil preparation, apply seed, dry, at the rate specified. 4) Apply two (2) tons of straw per acre over seed and imprint both seed and straw into soil with tight sheep -foot. 5) All dry seeding shall be performed and completed between December 15th and April 15th. 6) It is the contractor's responsibility to prevent soil erosion and assure seed germination by any means necessary including, but not limited to, erosion control blankets, additional straw mulch, temporary irrigation, hand seeding, etc. Other means of seed germination may be acceptable, check with Landscape Architect. Maintenance period shall be extended until 100 % germination is achieved. T. Damages resulting from Contractor's work or that of Contractor's sub -contractors shall be restored to original condition at their own expense. Planting Notes In addition to specified backfill mix, plants shall also receive Gro -Power 7 gram Planting Tablets at the following rates: 3 tablets per 1 gallon, 8 tablets per 5 gallon, 15 tablets per 15 gallon, 16 tablets per 24" box, 30 tablets per 36" box. A 3" deep layer of shredded bark mulch shall be placed in all planting beds, except lawn areas. Plant counts are for bidding purposes only. Contractor shall be responsible for exact count per plan. A 6" Concrete Curb shall be placed between all turf areas and parking areas.
