- A min. of 25' from beginning of curb returns at any street intersection.
- 10' from light standard.
- 5' from fire hydrants or utility enclosures.
- A min, of 3' from sidewalk edge, face of wall or back of curb.
- For trees shown to be planted within parkway
less thabn 6' wide, center tree accordingly.
- No tree shall be planted in parkway less than 4' wide.
- Provide appropriate size linear "Deep Root" barrier
for any tree planted with in 5' of hardscape element,
such as curbs, sidewalks or walls.
- Hold center of all shrubs or groundcover a min. of 24"
away from edge of paving (typ.)
NOTE:
Contractor to remove the top 24" of contaminated sub -grade beneath existing asphalt
street within the entire median area, curb to curb, (median island fingers not planted, are
excluded). Contractor to perform soil test of native material to determine if any
additional removal is required. Contractor to import clean top soil with %' minus

COMPLETION OF SOIL PREPARATION AND PLANTING OF ALL SPECIMEN TREES, BEGIN WEED
ABATEMENT PROGRAM BY APPLYING: 100 POUNDS OF A COMMERCIAL FERTILIZER, 46-0-0, PER
ACRE AND PER MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS. WATER ALL AREAS FOUR (4) TIMES DAILY
FOR FOURTEEN (14) CONSECUTIVE DAYS UNTIL WEED SEEDS HAVE GERMINATED. CEASE
WATERING FOR THREE (3) DAYS. SPRAY A NON-SELECTIVE, NON -RESIDUAL, SYSTEMIC
HERBICIDE TO ERADICATE GERMINATED WEEDS. LET THE WEEDS DIE WITHOUT IRRIGATION
