I. WIND
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAKE SUCH ADJUSTMENTS AS NEGE55ARY, IN
LOCATION OF SPRINKLER HEADS, NOZZLE SIZE, NOZZLE TYPE, OR DEGREE OF
ARG, AS REOUIRED TO COMPENSATE FOR LOCALIZED BREEZE OR WIND
CONDITIONS, THAT CAUSE OVERS -FRAY OR IMPROPER SPRAY PATTERNS.
2. VARIABLE PRESSURE
CONTRACTOR SHALL 055ERVe AND RECORD HATER PRESSURE AND
AVAILABLE FLON IN GALLONS PER MINUTE (GPM) AT POINT OF CONNECTION,
EVERY ONE (1) HOUR FOR A FORTY-EIGHT HOUR PERIOD. TO DETERMINE IF
EXI5TING HATER CHARAC,TERI5TI05 DIFFER FROM DE516N PRE55URE AND
AVAILABLE GPM DATA AS SUPPLIED BY THE WATER DISTRICT.
CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT (IN NRITING)
IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO BEGINNING, INSTALLATION OF IRRIGATION SYSTEM.
FAILURE TO NOTIFY LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT, THE CONTRACTOR ASSUMES ALL
RESPONSIBILITY FOR CORRECTIONS AT NO COST TO THE OWNER.

IF UNUSUALLY HIGH PRESSURES OR VARIABLE PRESSURES ARE EVIDENT, THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL A PRESSURE REGULAR AT POINT OF
CONNECTION PRIOR TO BAGKFLON DEVICE, FACTORY PRESET TO DESIGN
PRESSURE.
4. F0661NG
F0G61NG 15 EVIDENCE OF HIGH PRESSURES. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIRST
ADJUST SCHRADER VALVE UNIT ON THE REMOTE CONTROL VALVE BEFORE
INSTALLING PRESSURE REGULATOR.
5. PRESSURE COMPENSATING NOZZLES
INSTALLATION OF PRE55URE COMFEN5ATIN6 NOZZLES TO PREVENT FOGGING
SHALL Be CON5IDERED AS A NORMAL ADJUSTMENT TO SYSTEM.

POUNDS PER 50.UARE INCH (P50, FOR A GONTINUOU DURATION OF 3 HOURS
AND PROVE WATERTIGHT.
NOTE: TESTING OF FRESSURE MAIN LINES SHALL OCCUR PRIOR TO
INSTALLATION OF ELECTTRIO CONTROL VALVES.
3. ALL PIPING UNDER PAVED AREAS SHALL BE TESTED UNDER HYDROSTATIC
PRE55URE OF 150 POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH (P51), AND PROVED
KATERTi6HT PRIOR TO PAVING, AND 3 HRS. DURATION FOR PPZ550RE MAINLINE.
4. SUSTAIN PRESSURE IN LINES NOT LE55 THAN THO (2) HOURS. IF LEAKS
DEVELOP, REPLACE JOINTS AND REPEAT TEST UNTIL ENTIRE SYSTEM 15
PROVEN WATER716Hr.
5. ALL HYDROSTATIC TEST SHALL BE MADE IN THE PRESENCE OF THE
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT, OR OTHER DULY AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF
THE OHNER NO PIPE SHALL BE BACKFILLED UNTIL IT HAS BEEN INSPECTED,
TESTED, AND APPROVED IN WRITING.

e. WHEN THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM 15 COMPLETED, PERFORM A COVERAGE
TEST IN THE PRESENCE OF THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT, TO DETERMINE RF
HATER COVERAGE FOR PLANTING AREAS 15 COMPLETE AND ADEQUATE.
P URNISH ALL MATERIALS AND PERFORM ALL NORK REQUIRED TO CORRECT
ANY INADEQUACIES OF COVERAGE DUE TO DEVIATIONS FROM PLANS, OR
WHERE THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN WILLFULLY INSTALLED AS INDICATED ON THE
DRAWINGS WHEN IT 15 OBVIOUSLY INADEQUATE, HITHOUT BRINGING THIS TO
THE ATTENTION OF THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT IN NRITINO. THI5 TEST SHALL
BE ACCOMPLISHED BEFORE ANY PLANTS OR 6ROUNDCOVER5 ARE
INSTALLED.
