SIGNAL STANDARD PLACEMENT DIMENSIONS AND EQUIPMENT LOCATIONS wr 1. Traffic signal and lighting shall conform to the State of California Standard Specifications Section and and Standard Plans (dated July 2002). 2. Lavation of all underground facililties are approximate. The Contractor shall pothole to determine the exact locations and verify all conditions on theob site. Hand dig foundations until clear of obstructions. Phone UNDERGROUND SERVICE ALERT at (800) 227-2600 two (2) working days before digging. 3. All pullboxes shall be No. 6 and conduit shall be 54mm(2") rigid metal except where noted otherwise. All vehicle heads shall be per Special Provisions. 4. The Contractor shall coordinate electrical service details and scheduling with the Southern California Edison Company well in advance of need. 5. Existing lighting shall _remain in operation until new signal and lighting is operational per Speciaf Provisions. 6. The Contractor shall obtain approval from the Engineer for exact equipment locations prior to final placement. 7. The Contractor shall relocate and/or replace landscaping, sprinklers and sidewalk affected by the construction to the satisfaction of the Engineer. 8. The controller cabinet shall not be subjected to water from sprinklers. Modify sprinkler systems if necessary. 9. The Contractor shall refer to the City Traffic Engineer in the event of a conflict or potential conflict with this plan and/or Special Provisions for this project. 10: All required construction permits shall be obtained from the City of Fontana Engineering Division prior to commencement of work. 11. Where traffic signal street crossing conduits are not installed using the boring method, trench repairs shall be per detail this sheet, and Special Provisions, Section E. . 12. The c shall furnish the following equipment to be installed by the Contractor: All . traffic signal dads and L.E.D. uses, L.E.D. modules for pedestrian heads, all poles and mastarms', ancho b is for all p s cept 1—A's, complete traffic signal controllers and cabinets (no anc r bo! ), and of image sensors. 13. The Contractor shall provide all framework, luminaires, TESCO or approved equal, TYPE BF, 100amp service pedestal, complete vehicle pre—emption system, vehicle video imaging system power cables, pedestrian signal heads, foundations, all other foundations bolts, and other hardware necessary for the installation of the city furnished equipment as required.
