All pipes, valves, etc. shown within paved area are for design clarification only and shall be installed in planting area and joint trenches wherever possible. SPRINKLER ADUSTMENT REQUIRED The irrigation contractor shall flush and adjust all sprinkler heads for optimum performance and prevent over—spray onto walks and roadways as much as possible. This shall include selecting the best degree of arc to fit the existing site conditions. Contractor to use pressure compensating screens when radius is reduced more than fifty percent (50 High—pop heads are required adjacent to any turf and pede%rian traffic areas planted with shrubs and groundcover. Fittings and riser to be high impact sch 40 pvc minimum. ( sch 80 pvc is preferred ) Plastic saddle and flange fittings are not permitted. Use Toro 15 ad j or V-15 adjustable nozzles to provide full coverage and avoid oversproy. FIELD CONDITIONS Do not willfully install the sprinkler system as indicated on the drawings when it is obvious in the field that unknown obstructions or grade differences exist and should be brought to the attention of the owner's authorized representative. In the event that this notification is not performed, the contractor must assume full responsibility for any revisions required. SWING JOINTS Install all heads with double or triple swing joints, using street ells, as per details with a minimum 6" nipple. COORDINATED WORK It is the sole responsibility of the irrigation contractor to familiarlize himself with all grade differences, location of walls, etc. contractor shall coordinate his work with the general contractor and other subcontractors, for locating pipe sleeves through walls, under roadway paving, etc. MINIMUM PRESSURE AND MAXIMUM GALLONS REQURED The sprinkler system design is based on a minimum operational pressure and a maximum demand at the point of connection, as noted on othe plan. Before installing the system, check point of connection and immediatelynotify Landscape Architect if pressure is not as noted or the required gallons per minumte is not available. WATER LINE UNDER PAVING ASI mainline under paving shall be installed 24" deep. All lateral lines under paving shall be Sch. 40 PVC and installed 24 deep. SYSTEM COVERAGE The irrigation contractor is to adjust head locations in the filed in Qrder to guarantee 100% coverage. Contractor to contact the Landscape Architect prior, to any major change(s) resulting in additional cost to the , Owner. In no- instance shall heads be spaced more than 50% of their diameter. ( head to head coverage required } If field conditions vary from plans the contractor must provide additional heads to insure head to head coverage. IRRIGATION LEGEND KEY DESCRIPTIONG. vs P. M.
