I. All planting shall conform to governing codes,
ordinances and city standards and specifications.
2. Contractor shall ensure positive drainage of all
planted areas on site and subsurface drainage
for enclosed planting areas.
3. The contractor shall carefully inspect the site
and verify all the conditions and dimensions prior
to proceeding with any work. Notify Landscape
Architect and owner to any inconsistencies.
4. The contractor shall remove all weeds, rocks,
debris, and other extraneous materials from
the job site prior to proceeding with any work.
6. All plant material shall be handled or stored so
that they are adequately protected from drying
out, from sun or wind burn, or from any other injury.

on plans.
7. 5o i l testing: Contractors shall provide a
horticultural soils analysis performed by a
laboratory of the California Association of
Agricultural Laboratories. Contractor shall notify
Landscape Architect of soil analysis results and
adjust soil amendments to conform to soil
amendment recommendations as required.
5. Contractor shall incorporate in all shrub planting
areas (except slopes) a 2" layer of M15 organic
