For "A" & "B" dimensions refer to POLE SCHEDULE, or as directed
by the ENGINEER.Negative "A" dimensions refer to a distance
departing intersection away from BC or EC.
SIGNAL STANDARD PLACEMENT DIMENSIONS
1. All work and material shown on this plan shall conform to the State of California,
Department of Transportation (CALTRANS) Standard Specifications and Standard Plans
dated July 1992.
2, The city right—of way shall be kept clear of debris, with dust and other nuisances being
controlled at all times. The Contractor shall be responsible for any clean up on city
right -of --way affected by his consruction. The method of street cleaningshall be by dry
sweeping of all paved areas. There shall be no stockpiling of construction materials
within the city right—of—way without permission from the Engineer.
3. The Contractor shall determine the exact location of all underground facilities and provide
protection prior to and during trenching, jacking or boring. Contact UNDERGROUND
SERVICE ALERT (USA) at (80 0) 227-2600, and all utility companies involved at least 2
working days before excavating,
4, The Contractor shall obtain all necessary permits. It shall be the Contractor's
responsibility to coordinate all phases of construction with the various utility companies
involved.
5. Location of all equipment shall be approved by the Engineer prior to final placement.
6. All pull boxes shall be No. 6 unless otherwise noted on the plan,
7. All conduit shall be 2" unless shown otherwise.
8. All vehicle heads shall be per the Special Provisions, All backplates shall be one
piece metallic and louvered.
9. Striping shall be by others.
