1. ALL WORK SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE PLANS AND THE
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION (GREEN BOOK)
IN EFFECT AS OF THE APPROVAL DATE OF THESE PLANS.
2. CONSTRUCTION PERMITS SHALL BE OBTAINED FROM THE FONTANA ENGINEERING
DIVISION PRIOR TO THE START OF ANY WORK WITHIN THE CITY
-LIMITS.
3. THE SEWER CONTRACTOR SHALL CHISEL AN "S" ON THE CURB AT THE
LOCATION OF EACH LATERAL.
4. MANHOLE FRAMES AND COVERS FOR MANHOLE 7
IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED BY THE SEWER CONTRACTOR 6" BELOW
FINISHED SURFACE GRADE AND UPON COMPLETION OF PAVING. THE
PAVING CONTRACTOR SHALL RAISE SAME TO FINISH GRADE.
5. ADEQUATE STAKES SHALL BE SET BY THE ENGINEER TO ENABLE THE
CONTRACTOR TO CONSTRUCT THE WORK TO THE PLAN GRADE.
6. ALL PIPELINES OR SUBSTRUCTURES OF ANY KIND AND ALL TELEPHONE
OR POWER POLES, WATER METERS, VALVES, HYDRANTS, IRRIGATION
STRUCTURES ETC., SHOWN OR NOT SHOWN ON THESE PLANS AND LOCATED
WITHIN AREAS TO BE IMPROVED, AND INTERFERING WITH CONSTRUCTION,
SHALL BE RELOCATED BY OTHERS. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S
RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY ALL AGENCIES CONCERNED BEFORE
CONSTRUCTION BEGINS.
7. ALL STATIONING IS ALONG SEWER CENTERLINE.
8. AN INSPECTION IS TO BE CALLED FOR THROUGH THE CITY OF FONTANA AT
LEAST "24" HOURS PRIOR TO THE START OF WORK. (909) 350-7610
9. ALL PROPOSED CONNECTIONS TO EXISTING ELEVATIONS OF EXISTING
UTILITIES SHALL BE VERIFIED BY THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO THE
START OF ANY WORK. THE ENGINEER SHALL BE NOTIFIED OF ANY
DEVIATIONS IMMEDIATELY.
10. ALL UTILITIES SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED, TESTED, APPROVED AND
BACKFILLED TO THE SATISFACTION OF AND CERTIFIED BY THE SOILS
ENGINEER PRIOR TO ANY PAVING.
11. THE ENGINEER SHALL CHECK-OUT ORIGINAL SEWER IMPROVEMENT PLANS
AND TRANSFER "AS -BUILT" REDLINE PLAN PROVIDED BY CONTRACTOR TO
CREATE RECORD DRAWING BEFORE ACCEPTANCE OF THE SEWER SYSTEM.
12. ALL JOINTS IN MANHOLES TO BE GROUTED.
13. ALL POTHOLING SHALL BE PREAPPROVED IN WRITING BY CITY ENGINEER
PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF ANY WORK.
14. CALTRANS ENCROACHMENT PERMIT IS REQUIRED BEFORE ANY WORK MAY
BEGIN IN OR NEAR THE STATE RIGHT OF WAY.
15. ALL WORK WITHIN THE STATE RIGHT OF WAY SHALL CONFORM TO THE
LATEST STATE STANDARD PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS OR AS DIRECTED
BY THE STATE'S REPRESENTATIVE (STANDARDS OTHER THAN STATE
STANDARDS MUST BE PRE -APPROVED AND JUSTIFIED)
16. NO EQUIPMENT OR MATERIALS MAY BE STORED ON THE STATE RIGHT
OF WAY.
17. ALL DISTURBED AREAS IN THE STATE RIGHT OF WAY MUST BE TREATED
FOR EROSION CONTROL (HYDROSEEDING OR EQUIVALENT, OR AS
DIRECTED BY THE STATE'S REPRESENTATIVE). THE RESPONSIBILITY
FOR MAINTAINING EROSION CONTROL WILL NOT BE RELEASED UNTIL
THE SEEDING IS WELL ESTABLISHED. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF CALTRANS CLEANING ANY DRAINAGE
STRUCTURES/CHANNELS WHICH HAVE BECOME CLUTTERED WITH DEBRIS
AND/OR SILT AS A RESULT OF, OR CAUSED BY, THE CONSTRUCTION
PROJECT.

DAMAGE TO, OR ANY AND ALL INJURIES WHICH RESULT FROM DAMAGE
CAUSED TO SUBSURFACE INSTALLATION, WHICH IS UNFORSEEN AND
DESPITE ENGINEER'S EFFORT DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS WAS NOT
LOCATED, EXCEPTING ONLY THE GROSS NEGLEGENCE OR WILLFUL
MISCONDUCT OF ENGINEER IN PROVIDING ITS SERVICES.
2. BY ACCEPTING THIS CONTRACT, CONTRACTOR HEREBY RELEASES AND
AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, HOLD HARMLESS THE OWNER, ENGINEER
(HEREINAFTER ASL CONSULTING ENGINEERS), THEIR PARENT AND SUBSIDIARY

TO BE FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGES WHICH MIGHT BE
