CONCRETE PAVING NOTES
1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY WITH THE PROJECT SOILS ENGINEER THE
NEED FOR REINFORCING, BASE MATERIALS, PRE -SATURATION, ETC. FOR
WALKS.
2. PAVING AND CONCRETE CONTRACTOR(S) SHALL COORDINATE HIS WORK
WITH ELECTRICIAN, DRAIN LINE CONTRACTOR AND IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR
FOR SLEEVING, PIPING AND CONDUIT UNDER ALL PAVING AS REQUIRED.
3. ALL CONCRETE PAVING SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 4 INCHES THICK.
5. REFER TO GRADING PLAN FOR FINISH GRADES AND DRAINAGE.
6. EXPANSION JOINTS, AS PER SPECIPICATKAS, ARE TO BE SPACED AT A
MAXIMUM OF 20' ON CENTER.
7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SLOPE ALL FINISH SURFACE AREAS A MINIMUM OF

9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL HOLD FINISH GRADE 1 1/2" BELOW FINISH SURFACE.

11. A TEST PANEL, EXHIBITING SAMPLE FINISH OF CONCRETE, SHALL BE MADE.
ONLY AFTER LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT HAS APPROVED TEST PANEL SHALL
FINISH BE APPLIED.
12. CONCRETE PAVING SHALL HAVE 2,000 PSI, 28 DAY COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH
AND CONFORM TO A.S.T.M. STANDARDS C 39.
13. REFER TO SPECIFICATIONS FOR STANDARDS FOR QUALITY AND METHOD OF
CONSTRUCTION.

GENERAL GRADING NOTES
1. Contractor to vorify grades and notify architect prior to stmt of
grading work.
2. All existing grades shown per CIYN Engineer's pinna.
3. All proposed paving surfaces shall meet existing pavirq surfaces with
smooth and continuous transition and flush along entire edge.
4. Concrete walks to have a maximum cross slope of 2% and a ff** N'n of
1 %, and shall meet all local and county requirements.
S. Prior to construction, the Contractor shall verify all utility tocaRtats,
existing drainage structures, street improvements, and finish door
elevations with the Engineer. Notify the Landscape Architect
immediately upon any discrepancies.
•. AN finish grades in planted areas shall be 1 1/2" below adjacent paving
surface unless noted otherwise.
