1. ALL WORK SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE PLANS AND STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION (GREEN BOOK).
2. CONSTRUCTION PERMITS SHALL BE OBTAINED FROM THE CITY OF FONTANA ENGINEERING DIVISION PRIOR TO THE START OF ANY WORK WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS
3. STATIONING REFERS TO CENTERLINES OF STREETS EXCEPT WHERE OTHERWISE NOTED.
4. CURVE DATA REFERS TO THE FACE OF CURB.
5. ALL EXPOSED CONCRETE SHALL CONFORM IN GRADE, COLOR AND FIND TO ALL ADJOINING CURBS AND SIDEWALKS.
6. ACTUAL THICKNESS OF AC PAVEMENT AND/OR BASE COURSE MATERIAL FOR STREET STRUCTURAL SECTION SHALL BE RECOMMENDED 81 A GEOTECHNICAL EN6IIEERING
REPORT AND SUBMITTED TO THE CITY OF FONTANA FOR APPROVAL UPON COAPLETION OF ROUGH GRADING. THE PROJECT DEVELOPER IS IN GENERAL REQUIRED TO 8R11VC HIS
HALF STREET SECTION FRONTAGES UP TOA 20 YEAR DESIGN LIFE BETWEEN SITE PROPERTY LINES, PLUS REASONABLE JOINS TO EKISTINC PAVEMENT SUBJECT TO FINAL
APPROVAL BY THE CITE ENGINEER
7. PAVEMENT STRUCTURAL SECTIONS SHOWN ARE MINIMUM AND SUBJECT TO REVISION AND APPROVAL OF THE CITY AS REQUIRED BY SOLS TESTS TAKEN BY THE DEVELOPERS
GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER AFTER COMPLETION OF ROUGH GRADING. SHOULD THE STREET CONSTRUCTION START MORE THAN 3 MONTHS AFTER THE PLANS ARE APPROVER
AND If FIELD PAVEMENT CONDITIONS CHANGE THEN THE DEVELOPER WOULD BE REQUIRED TO UPDATE THE DESIGN TO ACCOMODATE ACTUAL FIELD CONDITIONS
& CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN TO PREVENT GRADES, DITCHES AND SWALES FROM UMlfEAMINING STREET IMDROVEMENTS . UpON INSPECTION Of THE SITE, THE CITU ENCItEdI
MAY REQUIRE TEMPORARY GUNITE SWALES ENTERING OR LEAVING IMPROVEMENTS.
9. ALL UNDERGROUND WORK SHALL BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO PAVING OF THE STREETS.
10. ADEQUATE STAKES SHALL BE SET BY ENGINEER TO ENABLE THE CONTRACTOR TO CONSTRUCT 1FIE IIORK TO THE PLAN GRADES.
11. ALL PIPES OR SUBSTRUCTURES OF ANY KIND AND ALL TELEPHONE OR POWER POLES, WATER METERS, VALVES, HYDRANTS, IRRIGATION STRUCTURES ETC., SHOWN OR NOT SHOWN
ON THIS PLAN AND LOCATED WITHIN AREAS TO BE IMPROVED AND INTERFERING WITH CONSTRUCTION, SHALL BE RELOCATED BY OTHERS. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTORS
RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY ALL OF THE AGENCIES CONCERNED BEFORE CONSTRUCTION BEGINS.

IS THE CONTRACTOR(S) SHALL COORDINATE CONSTRUCTION WITH ALL UTILITIES AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS INCLWING BUT NOT LIMITED TO GAS, TELEPHONE, ELECTRICAL
LIGHTING, TELEVISION CABLE, LANDSCAPING , LANDSCAPING IRRIGATIOK CDOMESTIC WATER AND SEWER, STORM DRAINAGE ETC.
16. AS BUILT DRAWINGS SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE ENGINEER TO THE CITY OF FONTANA.
17. TYPE, LOCATION AND WIDTH OF DRIVEWAY APPROACH APRONS WILL BE DETERMINED AT THE TIME OF CONSTRUCTION AND SHALL CONFORM MITH THE CITY OF FONTANA STANDARD DETAILS
1D. CONTRACTOR IS INSTRUCTED TO REFER TO THESE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND WHERE THERE IS OR MAY BE A CONFLICT
SHALL IMMEDIATELY REPORT SAID CONFLICT OR POSSIBLE CONFLICT TO THE OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE.
19. STERILANT REQUIRED UNDER ALL AC PAVEMENT.
20. NO CONCRETE SHALL BE PLACED UNTIL FORMS AND REINFORCING STEEL HAVE BEEN PLACED, INSPECTED AND APPROVED.
21. ALL UTILITY COMPANIES SHALL BE GIVEN 48 HOURS NOTICE PRIOR TO WORK AROUND THEIR FACILITIES.
22. CONTRACTOR TO INSTAL PAVEMENT MARKINGS AND STRIPlNG AS REQUIRED 81' THE CITY ENGINEER.
23. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT OPERATE ANY MAIN LINE WATER VALVE
24. IF EXISTING UTILITIES OR ANY OTHER FACILITIES CONFLICT WITH THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS WORK SHALL STOP AND THE ENGINEER NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY
25. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILTT OF THE CONTRACTOR TO NOTIFY THE ENGINEER AFTER THE BASE COURSE HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTED AND BEFORE THE PAVING HAS SEN
INSTALLED SO THAT THE ENGINEER MAY INSTALL THE STREET CENTERLINE MONUMENTS AS REpUIRED BY THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF FONTANA.
26. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE MEANS OF DUST CONTROL WHICH SHALL INCLUDE PROVISIONS FOR ADEQUATE YIATERING DURING
THE GRADING PROCESS AND PROVISIONS FOR THE CONTINUANCE OF DUST CONTROL AFTER THE GRADING UNTIL SUCH TIME THAT THE GRADED SURFACE PRESENTS EFFICIENT PROTECTIVE COVER
AGAINST WIND OR WATER EROSION THAT SPECIAL DUST CONTROL MEASURES ARE NO LONGER NECESSARY.
27. ALL TRAVELLED WAYS MUST BE CLEANED DAILY OF ALL DIRT, NW AN DEBRIS DEPOSITED 0!I THEY AS A RESULT Of THE GRADING OPERATIOII CLEANING IS TO BE DOLE
THE SA7ISFAC7ION OF THE CITY ENGINEER.
2& ALL CONSTRUCTION AREAS SHALL BE PROPERLY POSTED AND LIGHTED IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE STATE MANIAC OF WARNING SIGNS, LIGHTS A10 DEVICES FOR USE 1N THE
