ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS: In general, the electrical drawings are diagrammatic in nature and indicate the locations of outlets and equipment and the circuit arrangement or the required wiring. Although not necessarily indicating the actual runs of conduit, the drawings shall be followed as closely as existing conditions will permit. Any discrepancies, conflicts or questionable points shall be immediately reported to the Owner. If the relocation of any outlets are required, it shall be made by the contractor without extra cost, provided the new location is not more than five feet from the location shown on the drawings and the change is ordered before the outlet is Installed. All items not specifically mentioned in the specifications or noted on the drawings, but which are obviously necessary to make a complete installation shall be Included. 2. ORDINANCE REQUIREMENTS: The electrical work shall comply with the requirements of all applicable codes and all other legal requirements. In case of conflicts between code requirements, the most restrictive shall apply; except that where the requirements of the specifications exceed code requirements, the specification shall govern. 3. MATERIALS: All materials and equipment used In the electrical work herein specified shall be new and suited to the Intended use andhall s be listed b the n y e U derwriters Laboratories, Inc. and shall meet their requirements and bear their label whenever standards have ben established and label service Is regularly furnished by that agency. The Owner reserves the right to reject any material or equipment, either before of after installation, which, in his opinion, is not in compliance with these specifications. 4. CONDUIT INSTALLATION: All conduits Installed in finished areas shall be concealed except as otherwise indicated on the drawings or herein specified. Conduit Installed, where exposed to moisture or damage, shall be rigid steel. Electrical metallic tubing, in size one inch or smaller, shall be used where exposed in dry locations, in stud walls, , furred ceiling, and similar locations. 5. CONDUCTORS: Conductors for building wiring shall be U.L Standard annealed copper wire with U.S. 600 -volt Insulation, sizes No. 8 and larger shall be stranded and No. 10 and smaller shall be solid. The minimum size wire for lighting or power circuits shall be No. 12 AWG. All conductors shall have "THHN/THWN" insulation. Aluminum conductors shall not be used. 6. TESTS: Contractor shall conduct such tests of any portion of installation as may be necessary to insure full compliance with plans and specifications. Cost of test shall be borne by contractor. Contractor shall provide all Instruments, equipment, labor and materials to complete tests. 7. GUARANTEE: Guarantee the Installation against defects in materials and workmanship which may occur under normal usage for a period of one year and/or longer as advertised by the manufacturer of material and/or equipment, after acceptance.
