GENERAL NOTES:
I. The construction of all Public improvements shall conform to these plans and
to the requirements of the City Standard Specifications, Community
Development Department, Engineering Division, City of Fontana.
2. Excavation and Construction Permits shall be obtained from Fontana Community
Development Department, Engineering Division, prior to start of any work
within the city limits.
3. Stationing refers to the centerline of the street except where otherwise
noted.
4. Location of Public Utilities shown have been determined from available
information. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility for the
protection of all utilities within the limits of the project. Contractor
shall contact Underground Service Alert 48 hours prior to start of work.

5. During the period of construction, the Contractor shall furnish, erect, and
maintain such warnings, signs, stop signs, barricades and other safety
measures in conformance with the W.A.T.C.H. manual.
6. In accordance with general accepted construction practices, the Contractor
shall be solely and completely responsible for conditions of the job site,
including safety of all persons and property during performance of the work,
and the Contractor shall fully comply with all State and Federal laws,
rules, regulations, and orders relating to safety to the public and workmen.
7. Sterilant is required under all A. C. pavement.
6. All exposed concrete surfaces shall conform in grade, color and finish to
all adjoining curbs and sidewalks. 5. No concrete shall be placed until
the forms and reinforcing steel has been placed, inspected and approved.
10. MATERIALS FOR CULVERTS:
Concrete: minimum compressive strength at 26 days -- 4,000 psi
Reinforcing steel shall conform to ASTM 615, Grade 60
A. C. pavement sections: 6' AC over native.
