GENERAL NOTES
1. It is the landscape contractor's responsibility to contract
LANDSCAPE DEVELOPMENT 48 hours prior to desired inspection
time.
2. The Contractor or Developer is required to fully maintain all
landscape for one (1) year prior to City of Fontana
acceptance of all improvements. All landscaping on individual
lots shall be maintained until. occupancy by the respective
Owner/Occupant.
3. Turfed areas shall have a maximum design slope of 3:1.
Ground cover areas shall have a maximum design slope of 2:1
with a minimum of 2%.
4. Soils testing for agricultural suitability shall be
accomplished at the conclusion of rough grading and submitted
to the City Engineer prior to soil preparation.
5. The landscape or irrigation contractor is to verify existing
P.S.I. at the job site prior to installing the landscape
irrigation system. Verification shall be made with the
Fontana Water Department.
6. The Landscape Contractor is responsible for obtaining
irrigation permits prior to commencing irrigation
installation.
7. Irrigation systems for individual parcels shall have points
of connection for the system between the water meter and
water service riser into building and ahead of any water
regulating device installed for building.
8. Work shall be done in accordance with City of Fontana,
General Services Agency, Landscape Development Services
Division, Standard Landscape Specifications Manual, 1988.

The Architect is responsible for performing inspection
requirements
DATE INSPECTION
1) Irrigation construction prior to
backfill.
2) Plant material prior to install-
ation.
3) Finish grade prior to sodding.
4) Irrigation coverage test.
5) Compliance with approved plans.
The City of Fontana Landscape Technician will conduct the
final landscape inspection.
(Notification of 48 hours required)
