GENERAL NOTES
1. All work shown hereon shall be done in accordance with
the City of Fontana standards and specifications and the
latest edition of the Uniform Building Code.
2. Reference should be made to street improvement plans
prepared by Krueper Engineering & Associates dated February,
1987.
3. Reference should be made to Master Grading Plan
prepared by Gary Mitchell & Associates dated February, 1987.
4. Reference should be made to Soils Report dated December
31, 1986 as prepared by Earth Technics, their ,job # 86
133-01.
5. Benchmark: Chisled ' ❑ ' on southwest corner of
concrete walk of building 90' plus or minus east and 60'
plus or minus south of the intersection of Mulberry Avenue
and Slover Avenue, elevation 991.44.
6. Special Note to Contractor:
Contractor agrees that he shall assume sole and
complete responsibility for ,job site condition during the
course of construction of this wall, including safety of all
persons and property, that this requirement shall apply
continuously and not be limited to normal working hours, and
that the Contractor shall defend, indemnify and hold the
Owner and the Engineer harmless from any and all liability,
real or alleged, in connection with performance of work on
this project, excepting for liability arising from the sole
negligence of the Owner or the Engineer.
7. If any unforseen sub -surface structures are encountered
during the construction of this project, the Engineer shall
be immediately given notice, before proceeding further.
8. The minimum slopes shall be 1% for asphalt & turf
and 0.5% for concrete surfaces.
9. An approved guardrail shall be provided at the top
of the retaining wall where there Is a difference
in elevation between the top of the wall and the
lower ground surface In excess of 2.5/.
