NOTES
1. Traffic Signal and Highway Safety Lighting Systems
shall conform to and be installed per Caltrans
Standard Plans and Standard SRecifications
dated July, 1992, as shown hereon and in the Speck i
proYisions.
2. Locate ail substructures prior to construction, Phone
Underground Service Alert at (800) 422-4133. 2 working
days prior to construction.
3. All materials and equipment shall be furnished and installed
by the Contractor except Type 90 Controller Assembly.
Type 90 Controller and it's appurtenances, including the
Type "P" cabinet will be furnished (not installed)
by the city at cost plus proeesskng/handling fees

9. For electrical service connection, call Southern
California Edison Company Mr. Hal Stuart
at (714) 357-6191. Applicable service
connection, riser costs and construction tax
shall be paid by the Contractor.
10. See approved signing and striping plans
for signing. striping and payment markinge.
11. All vehicle indications shall be 12" metal. glass lenses. and
have visors and backplates. Backplates shall be one piece
metallic and louvered: All new red indications shall be L.E.D.
Per The Special Provisions.
12. Electrical service shall be 120/240 volt. Provide circuit
breakers for signal (one 50 -amp), safety lighting (one 30 -amp)
S.C.E. billing shall be flat rate for highway sa€ty l*#�
and metered for signals.
13. Existing signal and lfighttng shaft remain In operatt at aN
times except for shut -down periods as approved by the
engineer. Temporary wiring may be required at the
contractors expense to maintain existing signal and
lighting system during construction,
