Prior to any grading; all 'trash, debris and vegetation shall be removed and legally disposed of off the site. A search should be made for additional irrigation lines or possible septic tanks, cesspools, etc. If present, all septic tanks, cesspools or similar structures shall be removed a minimum of five feet below finish grade, the lower portions cleaned out and filled with clean sand jetted into place or filled with lean concrete. Remaining cavities resulting from such removals shall be filled with suitable materials and compacted as outlined herein. _ 8, ;Cut slopes shall be no steeper than 2 horizontal to 1 verical. 9. Fill slopes shall be no steeper than 2 horizontal to 1 vertical and shall have not less than 90% compaction out to the finished surface. 10. Fill shall be compacted throughtout to 90% density as determined by test method ASTM D-1557-70, 5 layer method and shall be certified by tYi� Soils Engineer. 11. Areas to receive fill shall be properly prepared a:lid approved by the building official and Soils Engineer prior -.to placing of fill. 1. 12 Fills shall be benched into competent materials as per detail in Soils report. 13. All existing fills shall be approved by the building official or removed before any additional fill are added. 14. All trench backfills shall be tested and certified by the site -soils engineer per the grading code., 15. The final compaction report and certification from the soils engineer shall contain the type of field testing performed. Each test shall be identified with the method of obtaining the in-place density, whether sand cone or drive ring and shall be so noted for each test. S,ulrficient maximum density determinations shall be preformed to verify the accuracy of the maximum density curves used by the field technician, 16. The soils engineer and engineering geologists shall be r?sponsible for the quality of the work performed by the grading contractor, and shall exercise sufficient supervisory control during grading to insure com- plience with the plans, specifications and code within their purview. 17. gust shall be controlled by waterinCD g. 18. Sanitary facilities shall be maintained on the site. 19. Areas to receive fill should be scarified to depth of at least 12 inches, watered as necessary and compacted to a minimum 90 percent relative compaction. .20. All site preparation should be performed under the control of the soils engineer. An engineering geologists should inspect all slopes to confirm that conditions are as anticipated in soil report. 21. Engineer must set grade stakes for all drainage dev_ces and provide certification before pouring. 22-. All cut and fill slopes in excess of 3'vertical height must be planted with an approved ground cover and ground cover growing prior to occupancy of buildings. 23. No rocks greater than 8 inches in diameter may be placed in fill. 24. .Submit a compaction test report and obtain approval prior to foundation inspection. 25. 10 lot or fill slopes shall exceed 410" in height unless permanent landscaping is provided which includes a sprinkler system. 26. AAs -built �plans shall be provided to the city by the contractor. 27. Manhole frames and covers shall be constructed 6" below finished pavement grade by the sewer contractor and shall be raised to grade at the completion of paving by paving contractor. 28.
