I. ALL MATERIAL AND WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE STANDARD PLANS AND
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
DATED JANUARY, 1981.
2. PEDESTRIAN SIGNALS SHALL BE TYPE C SYMBOL.
3. MINIMUM CONDUIT SIZE SHALL BE 2 INCH UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED.
THE TWO SIGNAL CONDUITS ENTERING THE CONTROLLER SHALL BE 3 INCH.
4. DETECTOR LOOPS SHALL BE CENTERED IN EACH LANE UNLESS OTHERWISE
DIMENSIONED. ALL DETECTOR LAYOUTS SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER
PRIOR TO SAWCUTTING. QUADRAPOLE LOOPS SHALL BE TWO -LAYERED.
5. TYPE P CABINET FOUNDATIONS SHALL EXTEND 18" ABOVE THE ADJACENT SIDEWALK.
6. LUMINAIRES SHALL BE "CUT OFF" TYPE WITH INTEGRAL BALLASTS AND TYPE IV
PE CONTROLS.
7. INDICATES ILLUMINATED STREET NAME SIGN.
8. DETECTOR SENSORS SHALL BE TYPE A WITH INTEGRAL TIMING FOR CALL HOLD
(0 - 7 SECS. MIN.) AND CALL DELAY (0 - 30 SECS. MIN.).
9. REMOVE EXISTING FOUNDATIONS AND PULLBOXES WHICH ARE NOT TO BE REUSED.
ICS. EXISTING CONDUCTORS SHALL BE REMOVED AND NOT REUSED UNLESS OTHERWISE
NOTED. EXISTING CONDUIT WHICH IS NOT TO BE REUSED SHALL BE ABANDONED
UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
II. INSTALL 8 PHASE CONTROLLER IN TYPE P CABINET.
12. INSTALL TYPE C ( SYMBOL) KIT WITH 4000 VOLT TRANSFORMER IN ALL PED HEADS.
13. SALVAGE CONTROLLER AND CABINET COMPLETE.
