GENERAL NOTES:
1. All work and materials shall comply with the specifications
and standard plans of the City of Fontana, Public Works
Department dated 1975.
2 All grading shall be done in accordance with Chapter No. 20
of the Uniform Building Code, State of California, 1976
edition, and the preliminary soils study,
3. Inspection to be called for through the City of Fontana (714-
350-7(0/0' 24 hours prior to starting work.
4. All utility companies to be given 48 hours notice prior to
working around their facilities.-

from the City of Fontana, Public Works Department.
6. If any existing utilities or any other facilities conflict
with the proposed improvements, work shall stop and the Engi-
neer notified immediately of this situation.

The existing and location of any underground pipes or structures
shown on these plans was obtained by a search of available records.
To the best of our knowledge there are no existing utilities except
as shown on these plans. The Contractor is required to take due pre-
cautionary measures to protect the existing utility lines and any
lines not of record or not shown on these plans.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY
Contractor agrees that he shall assume sole and congplete responsi-
bility for job site conditions during the course of construction of
this project, including safety of all persons and property, that
the requirements shall apply continuously and not be limited to
normal working hours; and that the Contractor shall defend, indemnify
and hold the Owner and the Engineer harmless from any and all lia-
bility, real or alledged, in connection with the performance of work
on this project, excepting for liability arising from the sole negli-
gence of -the Owner or the Engineer.
BASIS OF BEARINGS:
The basis of bearings for fih.i s reap is North 0002' 39" West
being the centerline of Almeria Avenue per Parcel Map
No. 321$, Parcel Map Book 29, Page 15, San Bernardino County.
BENCH MARK:
