GENERAL NOTES
1. Contractor shad l verify exact locations and depth of existing lines,
laterals, and wyes'before starting. Should it be necessary to reroute lines
due to conditions found on the site or if indicated points of connections
cannot be glade to the lines as found, the Contractor shall, before
continuing, notify the architect prior to installing any work which may be
affected.
2. Hot water pipe insulation must be based on insulation of R values between 4.0
and 4.6.
a) at 1" or smaller pipes, 1 insulation thickness.
b) at 114" to 6" pipes, 1%" insulation thickness.
3. Install shut-off valves at each cold and hot water supply riser and/or branch
behind access panel.
4. Install water hammer arresters on each cold and hot water fixture branch as
recommended by Plumbing and Drainage Institute WH -210 standard. Devices shall
be factory Dade with permanent cushion of gas or air. Provide access panel.
5. brovide trap primer for FS and FD.
6. For handicapped requirements, see architectural drawings.
7. a) Sewer, waste, vent and storm drain pipes to be cast iron, or galvanized
steel.
b) Hot and cold water to be copper tubing type "L" above ground and type
`'K" below ground.
c) Condensate drain and indirect waste pipes to be nixed steel. type
d) Gas pipes to be schedule 40 black steel or galvanized
8. Provide and install new tees and wyes for each water or sewer point of
connection.
9, Lavatory faucets, shall meet the flow requirements outlined in the Appliance
Efficiency Standards. Standards 2-5314.
10. All plumbing fixture's to be approved by Energy Conservation Standards.
11. Contractor shall rough -in 6 connect kitchen equipment, supplied by kitchen
equipment supplier.
12. All required cleanouts shall be installed as per Sec. 406 & 1107 of the
Plumbing Code .
13. Sanitary vent termination must be minimum 10 Ft away from or at least 3 Ft
above any window, door, opening, fresh air intake or vent shaft
