THE CONTROLS MUST RESTART THE SYSTEM DURING UNOCCUPIED TIMES TO MA NTAIN
HEATING SETBACK/COOUNG SETPOINTS. SETBACK CONTROLS ARE NOT REQUIRED
FOR OUTSIDE DESIGNS ABOVE 37F (WINTER) AND BELOW 100'F (SUMMER).
1. : Ol1TS1OE ASRSUPPLY AND EXHAUST EQUIPMENT SHALL HAVE DAMPERS THAT
AUTOMATICALLY CLOSE DURING PERIODS OF EQUIPMENT SHUT DOWN.
. NEAT PUMP CONTROLS SHALL PREVENT SUPPLEMENTARY HEATERS FROM OPERATING
WHEN THE HEATING LOAD CAN BE MET BY THE HEAT PUMP ALONE ANO SHALL HAVE
'CUT -ON AND CUT-OFF TEMPERATURES FOit THE COMPRESSION HEATING ARE HIGHER
THAN THE TEMPERATURES FOR SUPPUMENTARY HEATING.
D UCTS SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED AND INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE TRH CHAPTER 10
OF THE STATE MECHANICAL CODE. DUCTS SHALL BE SEALED IN ACCORDANCE WiTH
SMACNA HVAC DUCT CONSTRUCTION , STANDARDS METAL AND FLEXIBLE, 1985.
PRESSURE SENSITIVE TAPE MAY BE 'USED FOR SEALING DUCTS OPERATING AT LESS
THAN 1 INCH WATER COLUMN PRESSURES.
9. DUCTS SHALL BE INSULATED 114 COMPLIANCE WITH UMC SEC. 1005.
10. THE MR DISTRiBUTION SYSTEM SHALL BE BALANCED NI ACCORDANCE %VIM THE
ASSOCIATED NR BALANCE COUNCIL NATIONAL STANDARDS 111I16. A WRfT'TEN COPY
OF THE BALANCE REPORT SHALL BE SIGNED BY THE TESTING PERSONNEL AND BE
GIVEN TO THE OWNER AND BUILDING INSPECTOR.
