HomeMy WebLinkAbout2441ER-1EROSION CONTROL NOTES: 1. A STANDBY CREW FOR EMERGENCY WORK SHALL BE AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES DURING THE RAINY SEASON.. NECESSARY MATERIALS SHALL BE AVAILABLE ON SITE AND STOCKPILED AT CONVENIENT LOCATIONS TO FACILITATE RAPID CONSTRUCTION OF TEMPORARY DEVICES OR TO REPAIR ANY DAMAGED EROSION CONTROL MEASURES WHEN RAIN IS IMMINENT. 2. DEVICES SHALL NOT BE MOVED OR MODIFIED WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE CITY INSPECTOR. 3. ALL REMOVABLE PROTECTIVE DEVICES SHOWN SHALL BE IN PLACE AT THE END OF EACH WORKING DAY, WHEN THE FIVE-DAY RAIN PROBABILITY FORECAST EXCEEDS 40 PERCENT. 4. AFTER A RAINSTORM, ALL SILT AND DEBRIS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM CHECK BERMS AND DESILTING BASINS. ANY GRADED SLOPE SURFACE PROTECTIONS MEASURES DAMAGED DURING A RAINSTORM SHALL ALSO BE IMMEDIATELY REPAIRED. 5. FILL SLOPES AT THE SITE PERIMETER MUST DRAIN AWAY FROM THE TOP OF THE SLOPE AT THE CONCLUSION OF EACH WORKING DAY. 5. ALL SLOPES OVER 5 FEET IN HEIGHT SHALL BE PROTECTED FROM EROSION BY APPROVED MEASURES. (VISQUEEN, POLYMER SPRAYS, HYDROSEED, ETC.) GENERAL NOTES: 1. ALL WORK SHALL BE DONE IN CONFORMANCE WITH STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS AS SET FORTH BY THE CITY OF FONTANA. 2. SANDBAGS SHALL BE PLACED FLAT AND FIRM AGAINST EXISTING GROUND AND EACH OTHER. THE PLACEMENT OF BAGS SHALL CONFORM TO THIS PLAN, THE TYPICAL AND SECTIONS SHOWN HEREON. 3. STAGGER JOINTS PER TYPICAL SECTION FOR EXTRA STRENGTH. PRIVATE ENGINEER'S NOTICE TO CONTRACTOR THE CONTRACTOR AGREES THAT HE SHALL ASSUME SOLE AND COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY FOR JOB SITE CONDITIONS DURING THE COURSE OF CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PROJECT, INCLUDING SAFETY OF ALL PERSONS AND PROPERTY: THAT THIS REQUIREMENT SHALL APPLY CONTINUOUSLY AND NOT BE LIMITED TO NORMAL WORKING HOURS; AND THAT THE CONTRACTOR SHALL DEFEND, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD THE OWNER AND THE ENGINEER HARMLESS FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILTY, REAL OR ALLEGED, IN CONNECTION WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF WORK ON THIS PROJECT, EXCEPTING FOR LIABILITY ARISING FORM THE SOLE NEGLIGENCE OF THE OWNER OR THE ENGINEER.
