HomeMy WebLinkAboutApp O Trip Distribution Graphics This technical memorandum provides an evaluation of the proposed Project located at 16025 Slover Avenue, Fontana. The purpose of this analysis is to determine whether the Project generates enough trips to area intersections to be subject to implementation of Transportation mitigation measures from the Southwest Industrial Park (SWIP) EIR. The existing 18.2-acre site is occupied with a truck rental building and seven residences. The Project proposes to replace the existing uses with a warehouse totaling 395,970 square feet (sf). The following distribution graphics have been prepared based on the SWIP EIR Trip Distribution which is included as Figure 1, SWIP EIR Trip Distribution. A trip assignment was conducted to include the intersections and segments identified in the SWIP within 0.5 mile of the proposed Project. The 0.5-mile radius was utilized as those intersections and segments would receive the highest number of trips from the proposed Project. Based on the City’s TIA Guidelines, the proposed Project would be required to analyze intersections and segments if it generates over 50 trips at any of the intersections or segments identified. The trip assignment included two scenarios: the proposed Project without existing trips and the proposed Project with existing trips. As shown in Figures 2 through 5 below, the proposed Project would not result in enough trips to impact any of the intersections and segments included. The maximum number of trips would be in the PM scenario without existing trips (included as Figure 4, Project Trips PM with Existing Trip Credits) would result in 42 PM peak hour trips. Thus, further analysis is not required and no new deficiencies would be expected. Therefore the Project would not be required to implement the SWIP Transportation mitigation measures.
