They are one of the few "No" properties on our road project so we will only be allowed the existing 30 feet r/w. We removed a small bush/tree during our clearing and grubbing but that was in the existing 30 foot r/w. She complained back in March about Fisher Plumbing damaging her fence and driveway when they were doing the sewer. I told her to contact you. Attached are pictures I took today. Looks like they have a small curb around bottom of fence to keep animals in and their is minor damage and some areas that need to be filled in. Any questions please call. Box 390384 Anza, CA 92539 SUBJECT: FONTANA - SLOVER AVENUE TO CHERRY AVENUE - FOUR LANE WIDENING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Dear Mr. and Mrs. Evans: Reference is made to your letter dated March 29, 2001. The County's clearing, grubbing, and fence relocation project included work adjacent to your property along Slover Avenue and was limited to the current right-of-way width 30 feet, from centerline of Slover Avenue. This is the area outside your fence line. The clearing and grubbing work was completed mid -September 2000. Within this existing right-of-way the contractor cleared all trees, driveways, bushes, and other obstacles and capped sprinkler lines up to the right-of-way line. The remaining portion of the Slover Road widening project is scheduled to begin November 2001 and end in February 2002 and includes widening Slover from Cherry Avenue to Sierra Avenue and placing curb, gutter, and match -up pavement to 40 feet from centerline. During construction of the roadway existing driveways will be tied into the new roadway. Since you've decided not to participate in the project, the road width will narrow in front of your property and we will be unable to install any match -up pavement beyond 26' (except for the driveway tie in), curb or gutter, or cement driveway approach in front of your property. The City of Fontana began their sewer line installation in January 2001. The sewer is located approximately 24- feet north of the centerline. We are sending them a copy of your letter to address your comments on the possible damage to your fence occurring on March 27, 2001. The contact for the City sewer project is Don Gdula at (909) 350-7632. If you have any questions concerning the road construction project please feel free to contact Brendon Biggs at (909) 387-7948. If you have any question regarding real estate services, please contact Jan Dustin at (909) 387- 7817. Sincerely, Richard Bronstrup, P.E. Box 390384 Anza, CA. 92539 We have encountered serious problems with the Slover Ave. improvement project. On August 22,2000, a tree was removed from the parkstrip next to the driveway at our property. A sprinkler line was broken, the asphalt drive was destroyed and asphalt was stacked on the property. I sent a letter to V. E. Tree. Service and requested that the repairs be made by them as they were the company performing the work which caused the damage. To date the repairs have not been made. On March 27,2001 my husband, Daryl, conveyed to me that there was some damage to the fence on both the Slover Ave. and Redwood Ave. sides of our fence. Today Daryl contacted me again to inform me that a hole had been cut in the fence affording access for employees of Fisher Plumbing to our property. Permission was not given for anyone to have access to our property and they were trespassing. They also caused damage to the fence in several areas, the top rail is bent, there are several snags in the fencing material and additional damage has been done to the asphalt driveway. I am demanding that the fence and driveway be replaced immediately. These repairs should be completed no later than April 26,2001 to avoid legal action. If you wish to discuss the matter further you may contact myself or Daryl at the phone number listed above. Sinc Sharon M. vans cc: file COE.
