Please be advised that Public Services Department has found what is believed to be an illegal sewer connection at 17715 Arrow Highway (Viola's Deli). Please note that this business is located in the unincorporated area of Fontana. Finance records do not indicate that sewer expansion, connection permit, or any other required fees have been paid. Please inform me when this matter is resolved. Recent Public Services Department inspection has revealed that this commercial business has connected to the City of Fontana sewer system. Presently, the City has no record of a sewer connection permit or the sewer expansion fee payments. If these fees have not been paid and this business is connected to the City sewer system then this constitutes an "illegal" sewer connection. Based on the information received from the County of San Bernardino Building and Safety Department the address in question indicates Olindo and Janet Viola are the property owners. If this information is correct or there has been an oversight in recording these fee payments please contact myself or Mr. Edgar Cassasola in the City Engineering division as soon as possible.
